"Empire Slice House came highly recommended by many. An iconic pizzeria in the Arts District, it's spacious with quirky murals on the walls. The staff are friendly and walk you through their extensive pizza and beer menu. You can order whole pizzas or by the slice. They rotate the slices you can buy, but always have three- cheese, pepperoni, and Notorious P.I.G. (aka meat lover's). I got all three. To be honest, I thought the pizza is average, but their "pink sauce" is so good. It's very loose, but tasty! For that, four stars!"

My hat is off to Empire downtown. Once I stepped in the door I knew. I discovered this pizza is made all fresh ingredients in house and the outcome is an authentic and satisfying ny style pizza as close to the new jersey boardwalk one can make."
