What People Are Saying

from Google

"I can only judge the store based on my need was for only a couple of items needed that I forgot to pack for my hotel stay nearby. (Distilled water and deodorant) It was about 15 minutes before closing and I was able to quickly find the items needed and get checked out before actual closing time. The cashier was pleasant and didn't seem bothered by the last minute visit before closing."

"Always a frustrating experience at this store- I'm not sure that Google will allow enough characters for me to even begin listing the issues, so I'll keep it surface-level. They started re-arranging the store a few months ago, which seemed to go on FOREVER. Ultimately, the new arrangement just does not make a lot of sense. I often find that items that should be listed on the overhead signs are just not there at all, so combined with the new arrangement, I always have to make multiple trips up and down the length of the store to find what I need. There have also been NUMEROUS occasions where the simple products I need are just not in stock (plain greek yogurt, low fat mayo, dog bones, tortilla chips, to name just a few). I truly couldn't even begin to count how many times this has happened. When I actually can find what I need, I have to be very watchful at the register.. Almost certainly, something will ring up at a higher price than what was displayed on the shelf. I know that my husband has brought these issues to the attention of management on SEVERAL occasions, with NO resolution. I now avoid this store as much as I possibly can, which almost always requires me to visit more than one grocery store. Personally, I would rather do this in order to avoid wasting my time and money at this store (if I do shop here, I typically have to visit another store anyway due to items I need being out of stock). I, unfortunately, ended up here this morning for a brand of wraps that my new go-to grocery store does not carry, and I found that MOST of the packages on the shelf had 11/21 expiration dates on them (today is 12/15). The wraps were hardened and even curled-up around the edges. These issues started before Brookshire's bought the company, but they have only gotten worse since then. Is anyone going to address the blatant issues with stocking items at this store??"

"The facility was well-maintained and the staff were exceptionally friendly. However, the checkout process was frustrating; we encountered a long wait during a shift change which was poorly timed given the holiday crowd. Additionally, I was disappointed to find they do not carry . though the store was otherwise clean and organized. Improved coordination during peak hours would greatly enhance the experienc"

"If you are someone who has unlimited free time and prefers the inconvenience of being relegated to going to more than one grocery store every single time you need even just a few grocery items, Reasor's is the store for you! Without fail, whether it's 5 items to pick up or 50, it's almost a guarantee that Reasor's will NOT have at least one of those items and you can count on extending your trip to include another grocery store for no good reason! And the items are not exotic or uncommon. They are simply always and inexplicably out of common items. ALWAYS. This is not the case at other stores. Here are just a few examples over just a few weeks' time (because it happens SO frequently, I started keeping a list before I stopped shopping at Reasor's): Italian sausage, arugula (3x), Best Choice sandwich bags (2x), dog bones, plain Greek yogurt (4x), collard greens, lettuce (all kinds), half and half, feta cheese (2x) - the list goes on and on. My favorite was ground pork. All different cuts of pork on the floor, four people standing around the butcher's department w/o customers, but when brought to their attention, simply grinding pork for a customer was not an option. Weird, right? Oh, and better watch that produce pricing, especially if they are running a "special." See, these are perishable items and, in order to look out for the bottom line, they will often post a "special price" on the floor - but when you get to the register the item is, at best, normal price, but I've even been charged more than double for an item on "special" (small basil clamshell - $5+). On one receipt, I had FOUR produce items for which I was overcharged. While I was refunded for the difference, Management did not seem the least bit concerned about correcting the pricing, just issuing the refund when they were caught. This is because it was not an accident - this is how dishonest management moves perishable items that will soon spoil without cutting into the margin. On every front, since Berkshire took over, Reasor's has diminished in quality. As a longtime loyal customer, when I called to discuss the CONSTANT issues with a regional manager, I was met with nothing but excuses and NO semblance of accountability. The customer was wrong. I must have just been imagining the issues, right? Weird how, now that I shop anywhere but Reasor's, I'm somehow able to get everything I need in a single stop. Almost as if OTHER stores have somehow managed to avoid these issues and it might just be mismanagement after all! Go figure... I have many more examples of unsatisfactory experiences that I could cite. Gave Reasor's one more chance last week and ended up leaving frustrated and emptyhanded YET AGAIN, as they HAD rotisserie chickens (the primary item I had come in for) that were cooked and ready to put out for sale and they HAD staff behind the deli counter - but they were simply too busy "with the fish" (?) and couldn't begin to assist the customer with what I had come in for. Do yourself a favor. If you're going to have to go to two stores anyway (because Reasor's can't stock their shelves properly), just start with the store you'll inevitably go to after Reasor's. You'll save yourself an extra trip, a lot of time, and frustration. Good riddance."

"I came in late wearing workout clothes, with a messy bun and glasses, and multiple employees, including the manager, were unable or unwilling to help me locate an item that showed as in stock. While people often say appearance doesn’t affect treatment, psychological research consistently shows otherwise. I’ve noticed that when I’m dressed in business attire or a suit, I receive significantly more assistance and better customer service. Today’s experience unfortunately reflected that difference."
