"I was buying this coffee after a friend told me that shade-grown is better for sustaining bird habitats. After I bought a batch of the Othello blend and noticed that it took a really long time for my burr grinder to grind the beans for drip, I thought there was something wrong with my grinder, which I thoroughly cleaned, but I got the same result. I bought beans from other roasters and had no issues with grinding the beans in a quarter of the time. I recently bought the Othello blend again, and had the same result as before. Either some inherent quality of the beans or the roasting process must be responsible. Anyway, although I would like to support this local business, I just don't have the time (and the wear on my grinder motor) to continue buying this product."
