What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"I love the food here. It's a shame they don't serve lunch sooner. It's such a popular place, the interior is very loud when people are there. It's not an intimate coffee shop. It's a bustling European style Cafe. Sitting outdoors on a warm day is nice. Although it is along a major boulevard so you will hear the traffic"

"Go this place for breakfast! I had the farmers breakfast which sounds like your basic 2 eggs and home fries but it wasn't. The home fries were crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside. They weren't overspiced with anything - just a light touch on the salt. What really punched them up was the side of garlic aoli that accompanied them. A refreshing change from the weird variations of hollandaise that seem to be taking over many restaurant breakfasts. My 2 eggs overeasy were perfectly cooked and there was no trace of the cooking oil that kept them from sticking to the grill. And, if that's not exciting enough to get you over there for breakfast, this same meal also comes with a small side of fresh fruit and toast! I spent a few dollars extra to upgrade the toast to a truly fantastic croissant which came with unsalted butter and berry preserves. The place was packed (Ducks played at home today) but the food still arrived quickly and piping hot. The only slightly negative is the ambiance - its got a bit of a "garage meets basement" kinda vibe, but I can live with that for the value and deliciousness that I got from the food. Enjoy!"

"They have all the best things. The best southern mayo (Duke's). The best chili crisps (Kari Kari). Kimchi sesame navy beans -- didn't even know they existed but now we all know that we need to. Kewpie the famed/best international mayo à la japonaise. The best French butter? You don't have to make a blind decision because they offer four different kinds of butter from France including a butter from the Camargue -- in the south of France -- that is one of my favorites. There are vanilla eclairs and raspberry Napoleons, and macaron in the sweet section. But the most delicious things were in the croissant section. It was a toss up between the ham and Gruyère and the pain du fromage. Both would have been hearty and buttery and delicious, but the staff shared that the pain du fromage only happens on the weekends, so don't miss those. The almond croissant. The pain au chocolat. Seasonally fresh strawberries were used for the danish. My brunch mate had an Americano and I had an iced coffee. Happily, they offered self-serve cinnamon sugar and chocolate powder as toppings for our drink drinks. We sat at the tables outside which actually wrapped around the café as well, so there's plenty of outdoor seating. And there's a good parking lot out back."

"This restaurant and market was recommended to us by a local resident while we were in town. It was an excellent find. I travel to Paris often and it reminded of markets there. They even had the same salted butter for sale that I buy in Paris. There’s an excellent wine selection, too. We were there for breakfast and ordered the #1 and #2 sandwiches as well as the quiche Lorraine. They were all delicious. The quiche was the perfect size and the side fruit included dark berries and not just melon like some establishments. I hope to return to shop in the market and try other menu items."

"Back for the first time in a long while. Came early enough to get access to the bran muffins. Sometimes the best things are gone before 11 AM. Took a butter..."
