Fantastic décor, like an old world brasserie. Love the black diamond-tufted upholstered booths, round café tables, and tilted mirrors. Without welcoming service, the rest doesn't matter."

"Barista in Nob Hill is one of my favorite coffee spots in Portland! Their coffee is truly top-notch, and I love the vibe and the cozy, stylish decor. The street view is especially beautiful during spring, summer, and autumn, and they even have outdoor seating — perfect for enjoying a drink while reading a book. Also, a must-try: their banana bread! It’s moist, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with their coffee. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area"

"I adore barista so much! They carry such a good atmosphere and honestly, the coffee is bomb. I tried their iced oat milk latte with hazelnut and it was so so yummy. Normally I’m used to coffee shops having a lot of different syrups but what I loved especially about this shop was the fact that they had a small selection of syrups but the syrups were so good and not like the normal cheap syrups used at other coffee shops. I love the simplicity that the coffee shop brings. Shout of Randy, Joe, and Esther!"

"I absolutely love coming to this location! The employees are so friendly and always full of energy, which truly uplifts my entire day. My go-to drink is the vanilla latte, and they make the BEST one. The staff at 23rd is just a bit more welcoming and genuinely strives to make every visit special vs other barista locations. I also highly recommend the matcha freak with vanilla syrup to tone down the milk flavor—it’s delicious! The flat whites, cortados, and pretty much everything on the menu is always amazing. And let’s not forget the coffee beans—so good, and I love picking up a bag on my way out (great prices too!). Their fresh-baked goods are a treat as well, especially the cookies. A big thank you to the staff for always serving up the perfect lattes with beautiful latte art! "Best coffee in Nob Hill! I lived in the area a few years and this was my go to—i still come back after moving up the hill. I avoided it for at first because I thought the name was pretentious—but one day i gave it a chance. the people who run it are really nice, the atmosphere is so pleasantly moody in land of sterile white coffee shops, and the coffee matches—their espresso is bold and smokey. delicious & cozy. highly recommend on a rainy fall morning 🙂‍↕️"
