What People Are Saying
from Google"Outstanding! My wife and I shared a matcha set, matcha latte and matcha soft serve. All three were excellent. It has a welcoming atmosphere. It is a busy place. Be patient. A table will open up and you can relax while enjoying your treats."
"My granddaughter brought me here. what a cute place. It was my first time having Matcha & I loved it. Also had onigiri & miso soup. It was really good & filling. I had a Matcha Parfait which was delicious. Got some cookies to go. We will definitely be coming back..Thank you for the hospitality."
"Such a fresh surprise after the Portland Art Museum. The food and drinks mix traditional and Japanese focused offerings that weee beautiful and delicious, with absolutely superb service. Such a treat"
"Beautiful cafe with gorgeous decor & simple menu offerings. The salmon mayo onigiri is the perfect choice for a fulfilling midday snack. This was the best matcha experience I’ve ever had."
"When I entered, (unlike the portland art museum) they did not judge me. Their smiles were not uncomfortable. The place was not pretentious like the pdx art museum, it was the exact opposite. They did not judge me on how I was dressed. I didn’t have much to give but I was happy to pay what I could. When I was hungry they fed me. When I sought shelter they gave it. I purchased a mini baguette sandwich. The care it was made with and the EARNEST kindness I received (not the fake kindness they give you at the portland art museum) fed me more than the mini baguette sandwich ever could. I tipped them each time I went in. I was the vagrant with the violin, in case they are wondering who wrote such an odd review. Im not houseless, just poor. They made me feel welcome. Go here. Don’t support the portland art museum cafe. Support this one. Food is better here anyways."
