from Google"I Wanted To Like This Food So Bad… And Was So Disappointed In The End… we left hungry and I started to feel sick after I left.. we didn’t even finish the rest of our food because it felt too forced to eat my mom ordered the Dungeness Crab Omelette and it literally taste and looked like it was TUNA INSIDE! 🤮 I Got The Chicken and waffle And Biscuit and gravy Everything Was So bland And tasted like my mom described ( like it was made for a nursing home or someone with diabetes ) Our Biscuits Were So Hard My Mom Could Knock On Them Like It Was Wood 😭 We Also Got Two Mimosas that Tasted Nothing Of The Flavors That Were Named! The Lady taking orders refunded the Mimosas… but refused my mom of refunding or remaking anything Because “ That Is How They Make Them “ in her exact words! I thought biscuits were supposed to be soft and buttery! Not Stale and cold! Honestly I could never refer Anyone To Eat Here Mind You We Spent nearly 100$ for everything I named which wasn’t much! 0/10"
"We came here because the wait at Little Griddle was too long. The staff was nice, but this is an “order at the counter, pick up at the counter, and bus yourself” restaurant. That’s fine, but not for $44 for two breakfasts and two coffees before tip. The food was okay. The brisket hash is a stew, not really a hash. It was good just keep it on the dinner menu. The Three B’s from the waffle window was just fine as well. Presentation was underwhelming. Brie and bacon haphazardly thrown on a waffle with a pinch of basil, we could have made this at home. We don’t have before photos (we forgot). The atmosphere is a large dining hall. Good morning campers. We won’t be back, but I wish them luck in the next recession. EDIT: We were hating on this place to my stepmother and she mentioned she walked by it a month ago while they were closed and saw a mouse running around on the window sill inside. lol this place stinks"
"Came in for a Tuesday morning breakfast with my biz partner and came away full of delicious food and coffee. The prices are reasonable and the portions are very good. I did biscuits and gravy with two eggs and it hit the spot. The sausage gravy was a hearty consistency very flavorful and the eggs were a great compliment to the biscuits. I ate indoors but there is outside service too. The staff are friendly and customer oriented as much as the cooks are food oriented, good combo. Glad I stopped in, I'll be back next trip."
"Food and service was great. Half the kitchen and menu were not operating so limited the experience but from what we did get it was very good."
"We used to love this place and had the best Mother’s Day brunch there some years ago. Now, you wait in line with a menu, order at a register, grab your own water, silverware and bus your own table. Odd for how somewhat elegant it was in the past with its lovely cloth covered tables and professional servers. The chicken and waffles and fruit and waffles are quite good, as The “Waffle Window” is probably the main contributor to this restaurant now. It was a popular side window years ago, but really took off. So, Bread and Ink just feels like a large room you eat your to-go food in. The folks behind the counter are friendly and were good about making some small substitutions for us. The biscuits and gravy were a real disappointment though. It was a massive amount of bland, almost mashed potato-like gravy that we discovered covered some whole biscuits. See photo. We had to dig around to uncover the biscuits and cut them up. My beef brisket eggs Benedict was delicious. My wife really liked her chicken and waffles. But we probably won’t be back."
