from Google & Yelp"If you see the pig on the bicycle, stop immediately! We ordered the entire menu at Cuinos Cocina Itinerante and every single dish was a hit. The Bañadito (Mexican Dip Sandwich) with pork belly and smoky morita sauce was an absolute standout. The Chilaquiles with mole rojo and a perfectly poached egg were incredibly flavorful, and the Salsa Ceniza on the breakfast tacos adds a unique, sophisticated smokiness you don't find everywhere. Even the coffee is top-tier—the latte art was beautiful and the milk was steamed to perfection. High-quality ingredients, expert techniques, and a great vibe. It cost us about $88 to feed the whole group one of everything, and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend!"
"Cadejo Coffee is one of those rare places that feels both beautifully curated and deeply human. The interior is warm and inviting—light wood, live plants, and a gorgeous floral mural make the space feel airy and contemplative, the kind of café where you want to linger with a book or a good conversation. My wife and I stopped in early on a weekend morning and enjoyed a serene, quiet atmosphere, which later transformed into lively chatter as the morning picked up. Both moods suited the space perfectly. I ordered a latte that was smooth and balanced, while my wife tried a seasonal citrus-infused latte recommended by the owner—a unique, bright combination of flavors I kept wishing I had ordered myself. Later, we split a French toast that arrived plated like a work of art: grilled peaches, a sweet cream drizzle, and a texture unlike anything I’ve seen before. Even the fried eggs on the side were exceptional—perfectly cooked and memorable in their simplicity. What struck me most, though, was the genuine kindness of the owner. While we were ordering, a homeless gentleman wandered in. Instead of being brushed off (as sadly happens too often), the owner greeted him by name, offered him a coffee and pastry, and spoke with him warmly before returning to help us. It was a small but profound act of generosity that set the tone for the entire space—this isn’t just a coffee shop, it’s a place where humanity and hospitality come first. If you’re in downtown Portland, especially near the parks, make time to stop here. Whether you come for the coffee, the food, or simply the atmosphere, you’ll leave feeling lighter."
"The best coffee in town. And the food...! 🤩 You can't go wrong, even with the vegetarian choices. You can tell how much love is poured into every bite. Spicy-sweet Mexican flavors, a barista & chef team made in heaven, and a cozy airy environment where there always feels like there's space for everyone. Definitely get the pinolillo latte, and some chilequiles. Leave a cochito cookie for me!"
"Cadejo is such a gem of a spot! Jacob the owner is ALWAYS such a delight and just the sweetest human. I love how diverse the space is here, you can get a cozy table for two or bring a group of friends and have some cafe de olla lattes at the community table. I’ve been coming here regularly and have seen how well he takes care of everyone walking in. And the residency’s of brunch options on the weekend is pure 🔥. Currently hosting Cuinos in their space and their chilaquiles and carrot cake pancakes blew me away. They offered a special of pozole today and OMG. I’ve never been so satisfied with pozole in Portland until now. If you get a chance stop by for brunch on the weekends for Cuinos! Highly recommend finding them in IG so you can stay up to date with what they are making. Cause that pozole needs to have a permanent spot on their menu this winter. Lastly, as someone who has lived in Portland for 10 years I’ve seen this space transition into so many different businesses. It’s difficult for sure with the location, but Jacob the owner has really created a safe and warm environment for all his guests. I’ve seen him offer pastries and coffee to those in need and in the past if seen people yell and make a scene but Jacob treats everyone with respect and is just a business owner I want to keep supporting. So much love to Cadejo! Ok lastly, it’s the only place in Portland that IMO makes the BEST coffee soda! Yall…. It’s slightly sweet with café de olla syrup and cold brew topped with sparkling. 🫠🫠🫠"
