"Oh my goodness, talk about a step back in time! The “house” where this shop now resides is from late 1800s, how cool! I had to be in Portland and Googled a coffee place where I could get a good matcha latte and do some work, and Case Study was super close to my location. When I saw it online, something struck me including the clever name so I gave it a go. It’s located in a section of Portland I really like anyway so this find was a bonus. From walking in and seeing the decor and being greeted by very friendly staff, I was thrilled and knew I found my spot! The decor, the vibe, the lighting, the layout…all of it is just perfect. I don’t like places where the music is blaring though I enjoy having it in the background. Here, the music selection was on point and at a volume where I could still focus on what I was doing. I got a lavender matcha latte, beautifully crafted and very tasty. I sat outside where there are a handful of tables until I needed to go inside for power. The location on a corner is perfect and it is all-around comfortable. There is a good amount of seating inside as well, and even one table on the porch. Everyone who came seemed to enjoy the atmosphere as I did, and I am delighted I didn’t look any further than trying this spot—I cannot wait to return!"

"I love case study. This was my first time at this location. Picked up some coffee beans Guatemala washed and are great. Had an iced americano. The barista was so friendly and was helpful in aiding right coffee bean choice."

"Hey friends! This post is about sustainability only. ☺️ By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we sent to recycling does not actually get recycled. Rather it ends up in landfills, incinerators, and our waterways. For that, I wonder if you would consider stopping the sale of plastic bottled water at your lovely coffee shop. When there are so many better options, like canned and glass, which you do also sell, why not just get rid of the plastic stuff completely? I also wonder if there are ways you may be able to better promote reusable, for here options for those who are indeed staying at your coffee shop to enjoy their beverage? Judging from your bins, it does seem that many customers know to ask, but judging from those at tables, it seems many do not. Perhaps there’s a way to better bridge this communications gap. Maybe that could be promoting for here on social, or having the barista explicitly ask? Thank you for considering my feedback. Your coffee was wonderful, and your service was delightful. Really kind and conversational people. I will definitely love to return!"
