The vibe is quirky, welcoming, and very community oriented!!! There are also many events that make it a community hub to meet like minded folks! Phillip, the owner, is incredibly friendly and clearly cares about the space and the people who come through it! You feel that immediately. Great place to hang out, meet people, get work done, or transition from coffee to beer. A real Portland gem!"

Maybe it is a one-person show, but at our first visit to Coffee Beer, unless I'm missing something the woman behind the counter takes our order, prepares our food and coffee, and delivers it to our table. Perhaps that's why I have to ask her for napkins and utensils; no one individual should have to do everything. She's pleasant, and, on the whole, an asset to this vegan establishment. The food and coffee are very good. The burritos are the smallest I've even seen, I must say, but pleasant to the palate. I wish the sauce on the side were in a bottle, as the packet does not offer much. Free water, self-service. Remarkable, everyplace you go, there's merchandise for sale, such as the mug I buy for my girlfriend. A tip of the hat to the person who thought, "Let's have people pay to promote us." We will return."
