"The Hostel Cafe is a wonderful place to gather, whether for work or independently. It is such a warm and welcoming environment. The staff are incredibly friendly and quick to respond to any questions, which makes you feel taken care of and the experience even better. The food is fresh and delicious! I recommend the orzo pasta, chicken skewers, and their signature sliders. Also, their coffee is among the best in Portland. You can tell they really care about quality and community. "This is our neighborhood cafe and we love popping in here for meetings, breaks, and lunch. The coffee is great, the service is always kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is nice with people visiting and locals sharing space. Sometimes there is even live Celtic music gathering to enjoy! We definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a chill, community hub to enjoy a cup of joe."

"I love trivia at the Cafe with Sunny and her Cake trivia! It is such a welcoming and fun experience that's different from other trivia. I met some wonderful travelers and locals, and I saw many travelers staying at the hostel meet each other and form lasting friendships while playing trivia. Overall, it adds a ton of character, fun and value to the Hostel Cafe experience. I also enjoy open mic on Mondays and the food and drinks are excellent. I hope trivia comes back soon!"

"Decided to try a new place for breakfast and the Hostel Cafe was a short walk from our Airbnb. My partner and I both ordered the French Toast served with two pieces of a very dense break fried crispy and topped with butter and maple syrup on the side. The dish also contained some strawberries, blue berries and banana pieces. Very good French Toast and the service counter is very helpful."
