"Quintessential Portland bakery nestled in the Montavilla neighborhood. The decor is subtle yet welcoming, feeling like an inviting space for all. The pastries are decadent, with each one sporting unique qualities giving praise to the bakers crafting everything so beautifully. The food is great, albeit can be busy, but it always is a perfect pairing to the killer espresso they pull here. Service is friendly and prompt, seating is limited but it’s a great place to bring friends/visiting family or reconnect with friends. Will be back!"

"Yesterday evening was my daddy daughter date night and we like picking local confectioneraries or eateries. We came across Hungry Heart Bakery on google and decided to give it a shot. Walking in, there is plenty to look at. Miscellaneous random stuff lining the walls. Lots of character with an open floor design. Seating all around. The friendly individual behind the counter mysteriously hidden behind a mask. Had the most amazing eyes and great conversation. Helped us choose a few delicious delights. We got three different types of macaroons. We tried the carrot bread and to finish off our order we got two hot cocoa. The macaroons were probably the best I have ever had. Chocolate was my favorite. The Carrot Bread was absolutely delightful. Real thick slice extremely dense filled with flavor. It was really appealing. But the winner of the night was the hot chocolate. Perfectly made, delivered in the best mugs. Just the right temperature. I would 💯 recommend this perfect little spot. And will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great experience!"

"I just moved to the area, and I’ve heard good things about this bakery. I’ve never had any issues with the drinks I’ve ordered here. They’re often pretty slammed on weekend mornings, so tgevpreparation might be lengthier than expected. My partner very much enjoys so their food options, including a regular and breakfast burrito. I, myself, struggle with the noise in the space. It’s a very compact seating area, the ceilings are high, but the noise is just amplified inside. On two out of three of my visits, I’ve needed to step outside just for a moment just for a little quiet. To be fair, this is one of my own sensitivities, so if noise doesn’t rev you up, it’s a great bakery/coffee shop."

"I was gifted a gift card for Hungry Heart long ago, and was finally able to use it. First impression, the whole place smelled amazing!! Savory flavors filled the air, but they also had sweets behind the glass. Do not sleep on the cinnamon rolls!! Customer service was delightful on a Saturday morning, even though they were busy. I'll go again, even without a gift card."
