from Google"Lovejoy bakers is a cute corner coffee shop with a wide variety of baked goods. As you can see from the photo they sell large cookies, massive scones, breads, and muffins. The space is large enough for several customers to be in and out at once. Parking is terrible. This is downtown Portland so I would recommend using the street car or walking. The Lavender Late that I had was pricy but it was flavorful. Overall the coffee is pretty decent, the atmosphere is good, service is average."
"Must get the cinnamon monkey bread, very good!! 🙊🤎 —- I was expecting Lovejoy to be over hyped, but truly every single thing I tried was legit good!! That never happens, usually at least one or two are not the best, and one or two are insanely delicious, but everything here was a flatline super good!!"
"I was visiting Portland for two nights this week, and stayed at a hotel close to Lovejooy Bakers. I stopped in for a quick bite on my way to Powell's Books. I ordered a salad, a hot tea, and a pastry. The two women working there were very warm and friendly. I came back the next day near closing time. I was hoping to get another salad but didn't want to inconvenience them if they were closing up. They let me know they were here to make sure people got fed and had what they needed up until the minute of closing. I felt very welcomed and really enjoyed the setting. I would visit often if I lived in the area. It just felt like such a safe and comforting place."
"Everything I got was stale! It was sunday at noon so why would the pastries be that old and stale? Got a chocolate croissant, an almond croissant and a monkey bread (which almost broke my tooth)"
"A wonderful place to stop for great coffee and food. Very casual and welcoming atmosphere."
