What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Bright, spacious, with plenty of indoor seating and a few outdoor benches. Located on one corner of the Safeway parking lot in the Woodstock neighborhood, so lots of parking space, plus free street parking nearby. Open daily until 7 PM. Friendly, helpful service. They use Italian dark roasted beans with no acidity, which I personally prefer. Didn’t have a specific craving, so I went with a 12oz iced latte with oat milk (likely 2 shots), $5.95. It was smooth with a nice separation between espresso and milk, so you can mix it or sip it your way. Self-serve water station available. They also have individually wrapped bagel sandwiches in the case, options with sausage, ham, egg, bacon, and cheese, priced $5.50–$6.75, along with other snacks. Restroom: One-stall, gender-neutral. Clean, no code needed, toilet seat covers provided. Bulletin board just outside the door. They also have separate bins for trash and recycling, a small detail, but appreciated."
"Really comfortable place. People playing board games, studying, chatting, it’s not a third wave coffee shop, but the coffee is good and the vibes are cozy… Somehow those coffee shops with immaculate aesthetics and pristine interiors seem to miss the mark on the function of a coffee shop as a relaxed gathering place for people from all walks of life."
"What a great little place to stop in and grab coffee. A huge window, yet cozy atmosphere. Comfy chairs, wooden chairs, tables, and barstools available. My wife got a sweet Oregon chai and I got a small Caramella. Neither of us are really coffee snobs, but these were high quality drinks! We both smacked our lips and said something about the foam at the same time. I don't know how to describe why this foam was so good, but it was just like sweet little clouds on top of our drinks. The Caramella is a latte with caramel and vanilla.. it was the perfect sweetness without feeling like drinking sugar like SOME coffee places.. We are just 10 minutes from Papaccino's and we will definitely be back! Next time I want to try some baked goods! I was full from dinner this time."
"One of the rare true "neighborhood" coffee shops around these days, you'll see a vibrant assortment of regulars from all walks of life: from graphic artists buried in their sketchbooks to Reedies waxing philosophical in their book/study groups, as well as families playing scrabble with their young kids or older folks just spending quality time in this relaxed casual setting that feels like an old family friend's living room. The owner & baristas are also interesting people with eclectic hobbies who I found genuinely fun getting to know! I admittedly am not the most sophisticated coffee connoisseur, but so many of those with the gravitas swear by the Mexican Mocha (which I personally love with chaga and a hearty dollop of whipped cream!). My only regret is that they had to close the child play area following the pandemic, but I met some longtime friends here and looking forward to rescuscitating a board-gaming group there as they're staying open a little later again :-)"
"This place is such a pleasant atmosphere. Cute little place with a real pride in its PNW heritage . The locals are so comfortable drinking good coffee and relaxing in the chairs and reading . The breakfast items are tasty and the baristas are so friendly and easy going! I’ll be back next weekend"
