"We stopped here as our first stop on a drive home to California from Seattle, and it was absolutely perfect. The maple latte is made with real maple syrup, the hot chocolate has actual chocolate, and the breakfast sandwich was the best bagel sandwich I've had. It's cooked on the grill and the whole thing was soft and flavorful. The owner was extremely friendly!"

"Omg?! I don’t know how I hadn’t tried this place yet! I’ve been on the search for a good bagel sandwich and this did not disappoint. Prices were pretty fair as well! Excited to try the rest of the menu. Only got to take one picture of one of the bagels before they were eaten up by my friends. Area looks cute as well!"

"Absolutely adorable place!! Coffee is delicious and roasty. They also have fun flavors - I got latte with cardamom and lavender. They make your sandwiches on a grill and it’s so delicious! Between a breakfast sandwich (bagel, 2 eggs, cheese & cream cheese) and 16oz latte, I only spent $10 - which I think is a pretty good deal with current day’s prices. Parking is easy too!"

"My first time here with a friend who swears by this place. I had never seen a five star google rating, and I’m a coffee snob so I was skeptical of the shack setup, but Spunky Monkey delivered in fantastic fashion. The garden bagel sandwich to which I added two eggs was easily the best value dose of high quality food I have ever encountered in a decade of pdx dining. The generous avocado and tomato slabs were not only fresh but incredibly delicious, and the smell of the ingredients emanating from the cart belied their wholesome quality. Our visit was close to closing but the owner operator made no qualms about brewing a fresh pot of his home-roasted coffee. I only drink drip and the nutty earthy brew I received had a unique enough flavor and strong enough caffeine kick to leave a memorable impression. The genuinely friendly service, great taste, high quality, and incredible value of this spot deserves nothing less than 5 stars. Be kind to yourself and give the Spunky Monkey a try, you won’t regret it. (P.S. for photo context I have big hands and wear extra-large gloves at work, I am honestly gobsmacked I was able to eat this all in one push. Stayed full all day and would wager that this dando contained 30-35 grams of protein)."

"Probably the best bagel breakfast sandwhiches in Portland ! The barvarian breakfast has been my go to but the Awesome Vegan lunch sando (pictured) was also amazingggg!!! That parmesan peppercorn sauce is chefs kiss! Plus the owner is one of the coolest most personable humans. If you want authentic service and fresh food, hit this lil gem up! Not to mention affordable"
