What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Staff was pleasant. But if you are looking for a place that has more milk options than flavored syrups then this is the spot. Coffee itself was overpriced and mid tier. Better 32oz iced mocha at Dutch Bros for the same $6.50 this place charges for a 16oz mostly ice iced mocha(?) with what tastes like over roasted burnt beans. Oh and I’m sure the gluten free zucchini kale bars are fabulous but some real pastries would’ve been nice. Fortunately plaid pantry is across the street for those."
"Fantastic coffee shop. Nice staff and a fair amount of books on the shelves. Be warned, though: once a month, on Sundays, they host a poetry reading that's open to the public. It gets overly crowded and even before the event, you'll often get pressured for your seat if you're there just to hang out, work, or read and not part of the poetry event. There's passive-aggressiveness in the way people ask for your seat. Or, they'll blatantly roll their eyes and say, "well, this is a Humble Poet's Society event." This is BEFORE the event even starts."
"The vibe here is really cool, but the people that work there ruin the atmosphere pretty hard. They do the Portland thing where they talk to you in a flat sarcastic tone because you had the audacity to order. The shorter guy with the beard is the worst to deal with. I’m not sure why that guy would ever be placed in front of customers ever. Also there’s no reason the employees need to blast their own music like it’s their living room when it doesn’t match the atmosphere at all."
"I love being surrounded by the books! They also host a weekly writing cafe and other events. Wi-Fi: ✅ Points for being open until 7, so doing a writing session or meeting a date after work is possible. Good selection of drinks and pastries. I wish the breakfast tacos (which look delicious) were available past 1, but such a minor note. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would! Solid recommend."
"I really like this coffee shop the atmosphere is great and the coffee is VERY good. I love being surrounded by books and the concept is great. The food is also absolutely delicious. This is a must try. They also have sugar free and dairy free options which I always appreciate. Check them out."
"I'm obsessed with The Stacks Coffeehouse. I really don't know what it is, but I feel so cozy and at home sitting at any of their little tables. All the full..."
