What People Are Saying

"What a beacon of light this coffee shop is. It truly is a place that is interested in inclusion and community-building, complete with homemade zines about civil rights and a lovely little library for customers to enjoy. They sell products from local vendors and display beautiful local art. And their coffee is great, to boot! I told the barists what I like, and she recommended the perfect cup of joe for me. The price was good, too! My brother bought a sweater from here and said it's the softest sweater he's ever had. This place creates an atmosphere for community that's irreplaceable. I strike up the most wonderful conversations with other customers that sometimes last for hours, and I believe that is because of how safe we all feel in this lovely little coffee shop. Absolutely an Erie gem!"

"Absolutely LOVE Ember + Forge! Delicious coffee, prime location, and such a great community feel. The baristas and fellow customers are always so friendly, and they do so much for the community. I even had my dream Friends themed bridal shower here on their orange couch. An absolute must-stop while visiting Erie or just on a casual Saturday around town."

"Very very busy but great coffee and nice selection with lots of substitutions. I got the chai latte with a double shot of espresso and oat milk, caramel latte, and s’mores brownie. Long line and not much seating. Very small trashcan? They had a couple vendor tables with cool products. Staff was very friendly and helpful despite being so busy! Nice selection of cute products like candles, art, etc."

"Idk man something about a conservative loser whining about the inclusiveness of a space/business just makes me want to go there more. And if I could @ Emily Walker under her review I would. Being open about being pro-immigrants, pro-lgbt, pro-rights is amazing. Plus the coffee is fantastic and the pastries are local-made with love, with vegan/GF options and a nice variety of items and flavors. I've been going here since before COVID and every single person behind the bar has always been so welcoming and knowledgable. If you have a problem with a coffee shop being progressive, maybe DON'T walk in after seeing the pride flags and "we stand with immigrants" signs. But if you want a cozy coffee spot that welcomes everyone and you appreciate a truly GOOD cup of coffee, this is the place for you."

"I went to an after reg business hours Artist Talk-Back. It was really calm and cozy, felt like I had walked into someone's home, & I was welcomed by the artist and engaged in wonderful conversation immediately. There were snacks n beverages available or you could order coffee. The furniture selection to sit on varied and was very comfortable. The event itself was very laid back, which I appreciated because of its authenticity and vulnerability. Inlook forward to attending more events here! Thank you for a lovely evening! 🎨 💕"
