What People Are Saying
from Google"Lawrence Park Dinor is a must-stop if you’re in the Erie area! A small and cozy diner from the 40s, it offers the most friendly and conversational staff (who call all of the regulars by name!) and terrific food at a good price. We stopped for lunch, and I tried the cowboy burger with onion peels- a solid recommendation from the chef, as we sat at the bar right behind the grill and chatted away with him for a good part of our visit. We watched the chef cook all of the food with perfect timing, and it was fun to have a front-row seat to the cooking, with everything looking delicious. They make the burgers fresh daily (no frozen beef here due to limited freezer space), and you can really taste the difference in quality. Although we didn’t order it, the Greek sauce was highly popular with other patrons of the diner. My husband and brother both got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with fries, and it’s a generous serving of chicken, so much that my brother said he pulled some off to have chicken tenders on the side. My brother said it was so good that he’ll be reminiscing about it for the foreseeable future and is eager to plan a return trip to Erie just to go to the diner. They also have a guest book that we signed, which they started a few years ago after being featured in the Washington Examiner and started having people visit from all over the country and even all over the world, so it’s a fun memento to document the diner’s reach. We all really enjoyed ourselves with both the environment and the food and look forward to whenever we can come back!"
"We were staying in Erie and looking for a place to have breakfast when I found LPD in my search. It was about 20 minutes from our hotel, but it was worth every second of the drive. We were warmly welcomed by the entire staff, and the food was simply wonderful. Fair prices, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent flavors. We are from Brazil, and this was the first breakfast in the United States that truly deserves a 10/10. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it to both the local community and all tourists visiting the region."
"This place is a hidden gem outside of downtown Erie. Classic dinner car with incredible everything. The staff is amazing, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was amazing. The bacon was some of the best that I've had in a long time. The food was very fast and if you're gluten free, they have great options to satisfy your hunger. Great coffee and due to the incredible staff my cup was always full. If your in the Erie area, this place is worth the drive."
"We were traveling through Erie and found this place. It is the cutest little historic train car! It has 16 stools at the counter and five booths. Everything, from the warm friendly greeting to the food was perfect. We would definitely stop here again. If you are in the area you should give it a try!"
"Lawrence Park Dinor was an absolute gem – honestly, I went in expecting a good meal, but I left wondering if I had just discovered the secret HQ of flavor and friendliness. The food? Insanely good. The kind of good that makes you suspicious something magical is happening in that kitchen. Service? Top-tier. I felt like I was being hosted by my long-lost diner family who missed me terribly and made sure I left stuffed and smiling. If I could give it a 25 out of 10, I would. Oh wait—I just did. Highly recommend, and then some!"
