from Google & Yelp"We came in for lunch and were blown away by how delicious the food was. I got hot honey tendies with sweet potatoes, and my boyfriend got the soul bowl, except he subbed bacon for the greens. (This was an option offered to us, which was very generous and kind!) We both agreed the chicken tenders were so juicy and crispy at the same time, the hot honey sauce was thick, spicy, and super flavorful. The mac and cheese was the best we've ever had; creamy, cheesy, and rich. Often times I find that mac and cheese is either creamy and bland or concealed and cheesy. This was perfect on both flavor and texture! The flavors of the soul bowl all together were fantastic (I had a few bites myself). The bacon that was added was cooked perfectly crisp and it was such a nice touch, thanks again for offering to add something in lieu of the greens! The sweet potatoes were sweet and well spiced, but not TOO sweet. We both had cornbread which was tender and buttery. Overall this was an incredible lunch! The only thing we missed was banana pudding, but it makes sense that they'd be out. We came in for lunch after they were closed for 2 days after all. We'll be back again!"
"We googled somewhere to eat near the Erie Children’s Museum and came across Taste of Love so we tried it out. So glad we did! The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was, as my grand daughter put it, not good. REALLY GOOD! We got 2 soul bowls and shared with the kids. It was more than enough. The hot honey chicken over collard greens and Mac n cheese was amazing and the chicken over mashed potatoes and gravy was great as well. The cornbread was the best. I don’t know what it was called, but there was another bread that had a cinnamon and maybe pumpkin taste. Not sure but WOW! It was so good. Can’t wait to go back and try a fish or chicken sandwich. Oh yeah, kudos to whoever is in charge of the playlist!"
"Walking into Taste of Love Restaurant feels like stepping into a comforting and welcoming home. The first bite of their home-style American cooking truly lives up to the name; a ‘taste of love’ that’s comforting and delicious. The owners are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer helpful suggestions from their diverse menu. An absolute gem in Erie, highly recommend!"
"Paid $16 for Tenders, Mac and cheese and 1 cornbread, and extra $2 for extra cornbread. And when I got back to work and opened my food, I had freaking rolls, and no cornbread to be seen. Very disappointed since that’s my favorite thing and that’s why I paid extra for it. Chicken was average, too hard to bite, the only good thing was the Mac and cheese. It would’ve been fine if they tell me they’re out of cornbread, I understand it happens, but to scam me like that. Just plain wrong."
"Really enjoyed this place, the atmosphere, the Jesus music!!! I love supporting this business. I highly recommend it for take out. The fish plate is the best."
"Awesome spot for coffee and treats. Iced americano was brewed exceptionally as they have their own Bellwether coffee machine! The staff was super..."
