What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I'm tucked into my usual spot this morning, with the winter morning light filtering through the windows, while I sip on my ice coffee nestled in my favorite cozy. There are plenty of tasty treats, just like Mom and Grandma used to bake, which I poorly restrain myself from eating too many of. The whole space feels like an old-time country store where everyone knows your name. Friendly hellos from the staff, locals chatting over their brews... it's that honest small-town country store vibe that keeps me coming back."
"This Bean is lovely! It's a convenient distance to hop off the highway and get great coffee and a quick bite. I wish I'd had longer to settle in and appreciate the unique and comfortable space. The food selection was impressive for an independent shop, definitely would not hesitate to settle in with friends or solo with a good book. Will definitely remember to stop the next time I pass through."
"If you haven't been here you have to go! We love this place. Great staff, delicious food, and amazing coffee. We always stop when we're in town. Just like we did today!"
"I’ll be surprised if this review doesn’t get scrubbed from the google page. This review isn’t to drag the business but as constructive criticism as a first-time patron. The front of house looked unkempt with dusty coffee bean bags being stored at the front of house. Upon entry, we were greeted but then the attendant quickly disappeared to the back of house. Not the greatest first impression. If I owned a business, upon greeting I would ask an open ended question like “what can I get started for you?” The baked goods lacked imagination and were all wrapped individually in what looked like loosely fitting, already used saran wrap, it wasn’t very inspiring. The spread was your standard cookie bar, muffins and loaves. Nothing titillating. The menu showed only 2 espresso-based options which made me hesitant in asking for something off menu. There were no other patrons in-house which was pretty indicative. I get that downtown, North East isn’t the busiest of places but if you offer something delicious, unique and memorable, people will come in droves from states over. I want to support local business like this but where is the pride?"
"We were driving by on I-90 and needed to find a coffee shop and Google led us here. We really like supporting independent coffee shops especially ones with in house roasting. Not sure which coffee went into my latte… I got a medium and TBH, there was not much coffee flavor. It was basically a warm cup of milk. Next time I’ll get either a small latte or else just stay away from milk drinks. The interior looked pretty interesting with different seating areas. And the history of the place is cool - there a plaque on the wall outside documenting what businesses have been there. Barber shops, shoe stores, and coffee shops. We’ll be back!"
"Really cute little place, loved the vibe it was giving Got a multi berry smoothie which I really enjoyed and my bf got a protein shake which you can taste..."
