What People Are Saying
from Google"As Acme locations in the city go, this one is okay. The layout, and size, are definitely dated and the corporate policies - like digital coupons AND in store coupons, along with their move the past 10-15 years of trying to become the local "upscale" competitor to places like Wegman's means stuff is overpriced a lot and the small footprints both limits choices and makes moving through the store a hassle - plus the checkout and beauty/health areas are also poorly designed. It's clean and it's a grocery store, so not saying avoid - but when the new Giant in upper Roxborough opens up this year, I expect this place and the ShopRite further up Ridge to both suffer, and rightly so."
"Been going to this Acme for years now. In line on Xmas Eve for a beer, and at 5:01, they decided to stop accepting customers. Totally fine for them to take the white woman ahead of me though. There was literally no one behind me. Merry Christmas indeed."
"If you’re going here.. make sure you know what you’re getting so you can be in & out. Hopefully. Especially on the weekends. People go here and take up the entire aisle like they own it. Roxborough is micro, so the stores are too. I don’t do my overhaul shopping here for this reason. The aisles are the size of your pinky. Be classy, don’t take up the space."
"This was my first visit to what is going to be my neighborhood store, so I'll revisit this review in a few months. The produce section isn't organized the way my mind works, but everything in it looks fresh and tasty. The fish counter also looks fresh and tasty with no hint of a smell coming from it. The deli counter is something I dreamt of during the past 2 years in New Mexico. I didn't expect seafood there, but I kept hoping for a wider selection of processed meats. I didn't look, but I bet they have olive loaf. I'll get my wife some for Christmas 🤣 I would have bought a cup of hot coffee if they had one, but they didn't, so I picked up some warm soda because I don't have any pots, pans, or dishes at home yet, and I need my caffeine. Not as many diet options as I'd like to choose from, but it was nice to see cans held together with cardboard instead of plastic rings. The parking lot is much bigger than I expected for the location and it's striped for large vehicles to get in and out."
"Pretty good super market. Has a lot of variety so much the aisle are so tight with customers & employee stickers make it a hazard to shop but overall the place is 💯"
