What People Are Saying
from Google"Delicious!!! Literally so unexpectedly good, I didn’t know what I was walking into, my girlifriend took me as a surprise. Apricot Stone blew me away, truly! It was so incredibly flavorful and filling. The Shrimp Saganaki was the best dish I’ve had in a long time in Fishtown, if not the best. Marvelous. Grape Molasses ice cream is a wonderful accompaniment to the Armenian Coffee. Feels like a cozy home cooked meal. Thank you mama Ishkhanian! Our waitress Summer and the owner Ara were so kind and hospitable ❤️"
"This place is awesome. I was honestly blown away. The staff really knows the food and explained the cultural significance of the dishes, which made the experience even better. We ordered a bit of everything. It took a little while to come out, but everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The highlight of the night was definitely the dessert. If they ever opened a dessert shop, I’d go every day. The ice cream was incredible—so creamy and made with really high-quality ingredients."
"The food was really good. Just a few safe gluten free options. Fewer if you're dairy free, but they have options and they are delicious. The atmosphere is very cramped and stuffy, so highly recommend ordering take out only. Very few tables that barely fit your food and dishes. Likely won't go back due to having food allergies and the male waiter being extremely difficult to communicate with, and it was not due to a language barrier. I had to go to a completely different employee who was busy with another task to feel safe ordering a gluten free option. Once I got food, it was wonderful but the atmosphere and the rudeness and difficultness of communicating with a waiter who will talk at you, down to you and not fully listen completely ruined the night. The male waiter also rudely barked at us to rearrange how he set things on the table to make room for more things. Sir, that's your job and have bigger table also, maybe don't be rude to a large party that wants to tip you well... It was very delicious and pricey. If the service was excellent it would be worth the price."
"Ok. First off. Great food, hands down. As a person who has traveled to the Middle East and Mediterranean, this is some high-quality food. They clearly are a family from the counties in which the food is served and the food is authentic. If stopping in, they have a selection of dishes for two people that allows you to choose, and it is delicious! The skewers, the eggplant, the hummus, the tabbouleh was fantastic. The atmosphere was a little lacking but it's ok because it felt like a family-oreiented place, and the service mirrored that. I felt special just eating there. I am looking forward to coming again. If you crave Middle Eastern Arabic/Greek food, you need to go there. It is worth the time!"
"Food was tasty, especially the platters and falafel. The lamb and filet were on the dryer side but the rice pilaf texture was amazing. The space is small and service was almost non-existent which was surprising given how small it is. We had to reach out for basic things. When we did speak with someone they were nice and helpful. I don’t recommend getting the charred octopus. For $22 we got ONE small tentacle on top of lentils. Vastly overpriced and flavor did not make up for it"
