from Google"We’ve been coming to Smiley’s (now Bluzone) for several years since moving to Philadelphia, and the food and service have always been great. Unfortunately, since the transition to Bluzone, the quality has noticeably declined. We used to love the strawberry lemonades, but what we got this time was mostly unblended ice with just a bit of lemonade filling the gaps—gone after about five sips. Sadly, it’s not worth the money, and I can no longer recommend what used to be our favorite spot on Main Street."
"Got the chicken gyro platter. The food was bad, man. The chicken was dry. The whole thing was just salt flavored. No real Mediterranean flavor to speak of. The pita bread was flat, stale and flavorless. I honestly got a bad vibe from the place while waiting; my brother brought me out so I wasn’t gonna complain. Just overall careless and a waste of money. Nice people, just try harder."
"Felt like my small gyro was a day old and warmed up for me. Bread was stale. Plastic sheeting stuck to the wrap. Barely any tzatziki sauce. Smoothie blended for maybe 10 seconds then guy in flyers hat gives it to me. Wasn't even fully blended ice and fruit blocked the straw. Prices on menu not accurate anymore either. Street gyros always the way to go. This is a sloppy deli at best."
"A hidden gem in Manayunk. Really good Mediterranean food. I was able to try both the chicken and beef schwarma and each one was tender and well-seasoned. The tzatziki and garlic sauce were the perfect condiments to add extra flavor. The hummus and pita were fresh. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Tropical Craze smoothie. Definitely worth adding that on to your order. The owner was extremely friendly and was working hard to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Smileys is a must stop!"
"Probably the best Middle Eastern falafel or pulled chicken platters we ever had! The hummus was pretty tasty, the included sauces are excellent and the variety of vegetables included was good too. We paid about 13-14 each. The tzatziki I didn't feel was that great (I would've liked it better if there was more cucumber/yoghurt, it tasted more like cream cheese). Staff was friendly. I'd recommend this for take out for sure."
