What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I recently discovered my love for coffee shops and decided to start exploring the top ones in the city. Knock Box was one of the top 3 on Google, so I thought, why not start there? It was a very cool place. I visited on a Monday around lunchtime and found it to be crowded, with all the seats occupied and a line to order. However, the line moved fairly quickly. They have a nice selection of pastries, breakfast, and lunch items, catering to everyone's taste. The same goes for sandwiches and beverages. I ordered my usual decaf americano, made with Fonseca coffee, which was very tasty and distinct from other places I have tried. It had a nice aroma, full of flavor, with a good balance of acidity and a lot of body. This is one of the reasons why people keep coming back. Initially, I was only planning on getting coffee, but every time someone sat down next to me, they had a delicious food item that tempted my appetite. I ended up ordering the avocado and tajin sandwich on an everything bagel with spinach, tomato, and fresh sliced avocado. The bagel was excellent and sourced from a bakery called Four Worlds, along with the pastries. The bread came from the well-known Philadelphia bakery LeBus. The sandwich was delicious. The staff at Knock Box was very friendly and in great spirits, which can be hard to find on a Monday."
"I had a deeelicious turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything philly muffin! The muffin was the perfect cross between an English muffin and an everything bagel. Sadly, there weren’t any open seats, but I’d love to come back and spend some time in the cafe reading a book or doing work. I wish they had more seating!!"
"" A diamond in the rough". Mellow, calm, and the hum of the coffee machines at work. Delicious breakfast sandwiches, pastries, teas and buy one of their coffee bags. I loved it here with my husband and inlaws"
"I’ve tried most of the cafes across the city (and that’s a lot!) but Knockbox’s staff and cold brew are some of my favorite so far. It’s rich, velvety, not too acidic or gritty with chocolaty notes in the roast. Really lovely spot and super chill. I always feel super welcomed and the vibes are really comfy for working for a bit while you drink and eat. Not a lot of seating so I try and leave as soon as I finish or I pick up more to drink if I want to stay longer."
"First timer, visiting and wow…the coffee is excellent, and I’m visiting from Seattle area! The Everything Philly roll with lox/capers was terrific…the pistachio cream pastry excellent…great comfortable ambience. I will be back!"
"Exactly what you want in a local coffee shop. They've cultivated a perfect atmosphere that is inviting for everyone (kids, dogs, etc)."
