"On this particular day, we made the decision to venture slightly outside of the bustling downtown area of Philadelphia, heading towards the East Falls neighborhood just a short distance away from Manyunk Philadelphia. I have been frequenting this area since the 1980s and have always held a deep admiration for it. Finally, I had the opportunity to explore a place that had been frequently mentioned but never visited - Le Bus Restaurant. Le Bus Bakery, a true Philadelphia institution since the late 1970s, had always been familiar to me with its outstanding bread that could be found in every nook and cranny of Pennsylvania. To my surprise, upon entering the restaurant, I was taken aback by its beauty. It was far more exquisite than I had initially imagined. We were promptly seated, as it was lunch hour, and our friendly server Dani took our drink orders in a timely manner. Dani truly stood out with her vast knowledge of the menu, attentiveness, and overall presence. We opted to start with the wild mushroom bisque made with oat milk. While tasty, it did not quite meet our expectations. A touch of truffle oil or more intensely cooked mushrooms could have elevated the dish. Moving on to our main courses, I chose the veggie burger which was an absolute delight. Prepared with bulgar mushrooms, eggplant, red beans, vegetables, nuts, salsa, avocado greens, and a spicy cashew vinaigrette on a focaccia roll, it was one of the best veggie burgers I've had in the city. My dining companion opted for the roasted beet salad, which, although beautifully presented, fell short in terms of flavor. The roasted beets lacked that distinct taste, the cashew dressing was unremarkable, and the quinoa salad was rather plain. Despite the minor setbacks with the dishes, the restaurant itself exudes beauty. With charming local art, cozy seating arrangements, and lush greenery scattered throughout, one can enjoy a picturesque view of the bustling area through the open windows. The bar offers an array of delightful drink options, including cocktails, while the bakery section showcases an assortment of bread and other delectable treats for purchase. It is worth noting Dani's exceptional service once more. Despite her young age, she possesses a rare skill set and genuine dedication to her work that truly sets her apart."

"This place was better than I expected. The portions were filling and burger was cooked as requested. We really liked the cauliflower wings with the curry dipping sauce. The overhead lighting was too bright for dinner."

"If you love enjoying a meal somewhere with... ✨ a m b i a n c e ✨ this is your place. The food is great, the service is great, but the truly stand-out differentiator here is how incredibly adorable this space is — inside and out. All of the lights and the plants make it feel so cozy it's downright magical. Everything we tried was quite good, but the burgers and specialty breads (served complimentary with your meal) here were exceptionally delicious. Highly recommend!"

"I GOT THE ICK FROM THIS PLACE. RAW CHICKEN. RAW RAW RAW. I hope I don’t get sick from this. Waitress was apologetic but I saw her bring it to the kitchens attention (open kitchen) and they didn’t seem to care. Waitress said she’s had “many issues” before with the chicken. Total yuck. Totally unsafe. THIS PLACE GIVES ME THE ICK."

"I've been to LeBus quite a few times, and it’s always a treat, especially for brunch. The salads and steak fries are particular favorites of mine—always fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Last night, my friend and I, who both live nearby, decided to stop in for salads, which were fantastic as usual. To our surprise and delight, the staff gifted us some baked goods to take home for breakfast! It was such a kind gesture and a thoughtful way to reduce food waste. This morning, I enjoyed my gifted bagels and breakfast pastry with a nice cup of coffee. I warmed up the pastry in a low oven, and it was absolutely divine—the perfect way to start the day. It’s those little touches that make LeBus feel like more than just a restaurant; it’s a wonderful neighborhood spot that genuinely cares about its guests and the community. The staff is always friendly, the food consistently excellent, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Whether you're stopping in for brunch, grabbing a quick salad, or enjoying a relaxed dinner, LeBus delivers quality every time. They’ve earned a loyal customer in me, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great meal in the area. Thanks for being such a fantastic restaurant and neighbor, LeBus! 😊"
