What People Are Saying
from Google"Stopped in around 11 PM and appreciated that it was one of the few places with the kitchen still open late. Customer service was decent, but there was definitely room for improvement. The place itself was pretty cold, and parking in the area was a bit difficult. Food was typical dive-bar fare and nothing to brag about—the chicken tenders honestly tasted like cardboard. Drinks were decent, but overall it wasn’t enough to make me want to come back. I’d only return if it were the only option available late at night."
"MilkBoy in Philadelphia is one of those rare spots that perfectly blends great food, strong drinks, and authentic city energy. Located right on Chestnut Street, it’s both a café by day and a lively bar and music venue by night, drawing a diverse crowd of locals, students, and visitors. The atmosphere is relaxed yet buzzing, with a hint of grit that feels very “Philly.” The staff is friendly and down-to-earth, giving the place an unpretentious charm. The menu covers all the essentials with a creative twist—everything from hearty breakfast sandwiches to burgers and bar snacks. Their breakfast burrito and grilled cheese are local favorites, and the coffee is surprisingly solid for a place that also serves whiskey and craft beer. The live music adds to the appeal, with small acts and local bands often performing upstairs, making it a go-to spot for discovering new talent."
"Excellent service, very friendly staff. The place has a vibe all its own that's equal parts local bar and paradoy if commercial spots like hard rock cafe. Always busy but never so packed that you feel claustrophobic. The music venue upstairs is a throwback to garage Rock venues of the 90s and early 2000s. Tiny stage and no bad view in the room. Every show is intimate."
"Late night vibe. Visited after a show looking for a late night bite to eat. We had the Cheddar Jawns and breakfast Quesadilla. Both were very decent. Price was not bad, not a deal but not crazy either. The espresso Martini the waitress recommended was one of the best I have had. Service was fast and Sabrina our waitress was friendly and attentive despite our sitting out of the way. Overall Good experience."
"Went here on new year's eve. It was one of the few places that allowed walk-ins that night. Good: the staff are friendly and are prompt. The drinks are good and they have a decent spread of cocktails and liquer. They have live music almost every week, and have a schedule available in the restaurant with the name of the band. Can be improved: they charge a surcharge on credit card, which on a bill thats $100+ felt weird. Some places charge it only when the amount is less than 10 dollars, or mention it upfront. The seating on the ground floor is a bit crowded but it could be due to new year. The burger we ordered felt a bit dry."
