What People Are Saying
from Google"Absolutely delicious! You can tell they use authentic chocolate in everything. The hot chocolate is rich and deeply chocolaty (and very hot, but worth the wait!), and the bonbons are unique and flavorful. Can’t wait to return!"
"Everything is so charming and beautiful! The chocolates are high quality and soooo many flavors wow!! I cant wait to go back Also im happy to find some cute postcards !"
"From the moment you walk through the door, you know this is a special place as the aroma of fresh chocolate transports you back in time and invites you to explore. So many choices! All equally tempting! Unique flavors and classic flavors all beautifully displayed, I imagine, just as they have been for over a hundred years. I tried their Signature Drinking Chocolate and added a house-made marshmallow. Incredible! It truly was chocolate that you drink. And the marshmallow was so big it almost didn't fit in the cup. But that marshmallow melted into the chocolate so wonderfully. What a warm, cozy treat for the day before Thanksgiving. I'm so that happy I visited Shane Confectionery and experienced a taste of Philadelphia history."
"Real European style thick hot chocolate both the regular and the dark are unbeatable. Nothing watery like typical American hot chocolate. Their candies are worth every dollar, and the hospitality is warm and genuine every time I visit. One of Philly’s true gems."
"Shane’s drinking chocolate is worth every cent! $13 cup of hot a chocolate seems crazy & it is. But hasn’t stopped me from going back multiple times. I’d suggest the dark with a house made marshmallow, whip cream and whole milk. It is sublime! The chocolates are also very tasty, I recommend the praline milk one! That’s my favorite. The passion fruit (red jewel looking one) is also fabulous. The flavor is unreal if you’re into fruity desserts."
