"Great looking bar/restaurant in my neighborhood with ample space to entertain (which I love!). Service was great. Started with oysters and buffalo cauliflower. Oysters were shucked perfectly and the tomato minionette was fire. My boyfriend had the buffalo cauliflower and enjoyed it less the pickled celery. Wedge salad was more of a head of lettuce but still tasty but I guess you’re getting your money’s worth of lettuce. Trout was perfectly cooked and accoutrements were well placed and seasoned. Will be back for the wine and vibes and to try more of this menu!"

"We stopped by Star|Bolt after picking up our clay pieces from Yay Clay! and it turned out to be a great find. The vibe inside is cozy and a little moody—exactly the kind of place where Black Garlic Wings call your name (and yes, they were worth it). We missed happy hour by a few minutes but still tried a few things: the wings, Brussels (no mushrooms), mac and cheese (not quite Grandma’s, but still tasty), and some fries. Everything hit the spot. Our server—only on his third day!—was super friendly and made sure we were good on drinks. We had one mocktail and one sweet-ish cocktail, both solid. After eating, we played a little pool and wandered the space since they were setting up for an art show. Discovered there’s a cute outdoor patio too—definitely coming back to sit out there next time. All in all, a fun, unexpected stop. Would recommend!"

"🚨 Disappointing Experience: Needs a New Bartender My colleagues and I recently visited (12/3/25@4:30PM) this establishment, and unfortunately, the service we received completely overshadowed any potential enjoyment. When our group of ten professionals arrived to patronize the bar, the area was completely empty. Despite this, the bartender was notably unwelcoming from the start, and it felt as though our presence was an inconvenience to him. His demeanor was characterized by an unmistakable attitude, particularly when we asked questions about the drinks. He gave curt comments and generally seemed bothered by having to serve customers. The most egregious moment occurred when he yelled across the room to instruct one of our group not to "slam" a pool stick on the table—a completely unprofessional and embarrassing interaction, as if he were scolding a child. However, the experience hit its lowest point when someone in another section, who appeared to be holding a "meeting," actually told our party to quiet down... in a bar! After enduring the bartender's attitude and the uncomfortable atmosphere, my colleague respectfully explained the reasons why our entire group was choosing to leave early. Unsurprisingly, the bartender displayed no concern whatsoever. The management needs to seriously consider hiring a new bartender who genuinely loves their job, respects customers, and understands basic hospitality. We came to spend money and relax, but left feeling frustrated and disrespected. We will not be returning."

"Great neighborhood bar and venue that hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Awesome selection of food and drinks which changes seasonally to keep things fresh. The space is big and they regularly host a variety of DJs and other community events. Highly worth stopping in and checking out the vibe."

"Verdict: Give it a shot New place in Kensington/Fishtown with a few kinks that still need figuring out. Came here for dinner on a Friday night. No reservations so came as walk-in. Took a bit of time to get us seated as there seems to be no host stationed by the entrance. You can definitely seat yourself if you’d like to just sit by the bar or other seating besides the dining room. Food was promising! We were expecting for a bit of a wait for the food since a few tables were still waiting for food but dishes were coming out promptly, it seems, as the night went on. We had the chicken, cod and burger. Promising flavors, not outstanding but definitely good and reasonably priced. Drinks were okay but I think we needed to try more to definitely give a verdict. The space is nice and spacious and definitely has great potential as a really good watering hole in the neigborhood. Overall, worth a try! Hopeful for them to improve further and for us to visit again."
