"Awesome ice cream and so many flavors! There was only one person working so it took awhile to get waited on but it was worth the wait. I got one scoop of salted caramel, it was the perfect size. My only complaint of the whole experience was the nut ice cream being in all of the cases. I was there with a friend who has a peanut allergy and it was very hard for her to get anything because of cross contamination."

""Re-Visit Update: Cold ❄️ 🥶 day TODAY ~ Dec 14th, 2025... Perfect time for Hot Coffee ☕ ~ Stopped 🔙 by THIS Spot 🔴 for photos 📸. 🍨 🍦🍨🍦🍨🍦🍨🍦🍨🍦🍨🍦🍨🍦🍨 Previous Visit ⬇️ I did Not 🚫 even have time to take any pictures. There was an AMAZING meeting or event going on, and the shop was EXTREMELY busy. I will return to get a picture 📸 though, because I absolutely loved my "Churned Dessert" choice. I had an Old 🗝️ fashioned root beer float!!! It was made with an amazing bottle of root beer I did not get the brand. It was delicious and served with an old 🗝️ fashioned glass bottle. Don't Forget to Tip 💵💲💰💱💹💸💷💶💴"

"The perfect place serving the perfect combo does exist—and it’s Churn! Proudly homemade ice cream + a great cup of coffee! With locations in Fox Chapel and Southside, Churn is all about passion—serving up hand-churned ice cream, espresso drinks, and freshly brewed coffee. The Southside shop is a total dream: think pink storefront, chandeliers, cute decor, and all the good vibes. They offer a mix of staple and rotating seasonal ice cream flavors, all made fresh in-house. And the coffee? Incredible. Tons of fun, creative, and downright delicious flavor combos. I got a chocolate almond coconut hot latte – suggested by the sweetest barista- and it was delightful. You can try ice cream flavors before committing and buy by the cup/cone, pint or quart! Truly a great experience!"

"went to visit my family in Pittsburgh after thanksgiving and ofc we had to stop in after not being here for a while. the walls are the same but the faces are different. that doesn't change the warm inviting feel churn has always had. my grandparents both got mocha frappes, which they loved! my grandad also got the pumpkin pie ice cream and he was a huge fan. my older brother got the pb milkshake its his favorite and ofc we got a little cup of whipped cream for our pupper. you can tell kelley takes a lot of pride in making sure churn is THE coffee shop on southside and she succeeds!! definitely a 10/10 i highly recommend and i’ll definitely come back again when im in town !!"

"We have had some great dessert on this trip, but churn was easily the best home made ice cream I have ever tasted. They had a huge variety of flavors and tons of great options for milkshakes, sundaes, lattes, or lemonades too. I had salted caramel and black raspberry, but their flavors change regularly, so expect different options each time you go. My sister got their waffle cone and it came in a little cone holder which was a great extra touch."
