from Google & Yelp"Our daughter told us about a cute coffee shop about a half mile from her house. We are so glad we went down and checked the place out There are a ton of beverages choices there and we went with a Chai Tea and a Sam Adam's Octoberfest Beer. Along with them, we tried their Reuben Sandwich with French fries and an Egg Feta Avocado Sandwich with home fries. Both sandwiches were excellent. A little too much salt on both potato dishes but they were tasty too. The barista nailed the Chai tea and the beer was cold. We chatted with owner Nick for much of the time we were there. Friendship Perk & Brew is a well-run family business. We can't wait to get back. We will enjoy seeing our daughter again too."
"Unfortunately had a pretty mediocre experience with this spot. Ordered a very simple item to see whats up with the place: egg and cheese sandwich with cheddar on a croissant. I like that you have a high degree of customization for a lot of the sandwiches. However, the quality of the item itself was quite disappointing. It was so incredibly greasy. Like, you could feel the grease seeped into the croissant and it sticks to your fingers. The croissant itself seemed to be reasonable quality but it was just drenched (genuinely wet from oil). Egg was okay but very bland. So was the cheese. Just tasted of oil."
"Best cafe in PGH! Food is exceptional and the coffee is the best in the city. Service is super quick (you’ll never wait more than 15-20min for ur food). The ambiance is rustic and homey My bfast go to is the veggie omelet and lunch is the chicken wrap add veggies. The veggies are fresh, the chips are homemade, and the owners (Nick and Diane) will come up and talk to you as if you’ve known each other for 15 years."
"The owner, Nick, is as genuine and friendly as they come, he's firmly committed to the neighborhood and providing a comfy place to relax and enjoy tasty food. Sundays are busy, breakfast is a sure fire hit. The coffee is always on point and the service is outstanding. This joint is an asset to Friendship, highly recommend a visit, and a repeat visit!!"
"I’m not going to lie the food is not good. Their breakfast burritos taste like the ones you can get at sheetz or Wendy’s very artificial and gas station like? If that makes sense. Incredibly overpriced and the coffee has a weird aftertaste like meat. Please add seasoning to your “hashbrowns” aka dry cooked potato squares. The menu online needs an update because these are not hashbrowns. Overall this place needs a lot of work to be good."
