What People Are Saying
from Google"Very beautiful pastries, and such great customer service and kind people who work there!!! I left my house at 9 AM and got there around 10:30AM. I woke up early knowing there would be traffic to make sure I got there in time before they sold out!!"
"I was gifted these pastries, so although I’ve heard the service and environment is wonderful I cannot speak to it. What I can speak to is the subtle and complex flavor being these two lovelies: creamy, rich, sweet - but balanced with fruity and nutty tastes. Not too sweet, still a wonderful treat."
"Small shop with a nice selection of sweets. They have many flavors of macarons as well as some seasonal flavors. The macarons are mostly gluten free since they use almond flour, dairy, and other nuts to make them. There are different types of pastries including some classics such as eclairs, milliefeuille, tartlettes, and more. They is also a few savory options but they are minimal compared to the sweets. The breads selection is also minimal but to be expected. Besides the fresh stuff there is also a small spot where they have a selection of fruit jams and coffee beans. The staff were super nice and helpful. If you bring your box back you can get a small discount next time. There is no parking lot so you have to pay street parking or park elsewhere and walk."
"I visited Gaby et Jules yesterday and had such a pleasant experience. Gus, the cashier, was incredibly helpful and talkative. He answered all my questions about the products without any issues. The almond croissant was absolutely to die for—the almond paste was incredibly tasty. I also tried two macarons- raspberry and salted caramel , the Paris-Pittsburgh, and a Canelé. While the flavor and texture of the outside of the Canelé were on point, the inside didn’t have the signature spiderweb-like structure, and the batter was stuck at the top with the bottom slightly burnt/caramelized. Overall, still a lovely visit. The macaroons were pretty good and I loved the texture of Paris-Pittsburgh. It’s not common to come across a hazelnut dessert in Pittsburgh so it’s always a nice treat."
"Wow, just stopped in here on a whim yesterday and these were the best macarons I've had in years. Maybe ever. The blueberry lavender and the strawberry were great. So were the almond and pistachio. But the salted caramel was a marvel. Delighted to have found this place."
