"**Shot straight to the top of my favorites list!** This space is absolutely fabulous—formerly The Whitfield (a longtime favorite of mine) and now beautifully reimagined in the YMCA-turned-hotel, it has a calm, welcoming vibe that immediately sets the tone. I came here for my birthday dinner with my hubby, and every part of the experience was divine. Our server, Scott, was fantastic, and we were lucky enough to meet the owners/chef—such a thoughtful and passionate team. The food? Incredible. We started with the eggplant and pork belly small plates—both were outstanding and literally groan-worthy in the best way. I had the salmon spicy Caesar salad (so flavorful!) and my husband went with the lamb shank, which was braised to perfection and packed with rich, deep flavor. The cocktails (mocktails for me) were fun and creative. They graciously surprised me with a candle-lit dessert which was pumpkin trifle - off the charts!!! All in all, a superb experience—highly recommend! (Oh and a nice happy hour too 4-6!)"

"Really nice surprise to find a place this well put together. The whole experience was exactly what we were looking for! The food was delicious, some of the most memorable flavors of the whole summer! The drinks were very well thought out and prepared. My wife commented, very mature flavors. Right down to the peach cobbler served in a small iron skillet and a great cup of coffee, the whole meal was Great! This was one of the most genuine evenings out with nothing but good things to say on the way home to Valencia. The room itself is beautiful and cozy. The high ceilings and architecture really compliment the decor."

"Thoughtfully-crafted, deliciously complex, seasonal flavors in every dish and drink ordered. Plates are a bit pricey for the relatively small plates, but seemed worth it to me since each dish brought so much flavor joy. We got 3 apps, a salad, and a dessert, which was a perfect amount for us two. The room had nice ambiance and the staff was very attentive while we dined at the bar. We look forward to trying more dishes upon our next visit."

"This is a relatively new restaurant in the Pittsburgh East Liberty scene. It is located in the loby of Hotel Maverick that has taken the place of the prior and mitical ACE Hotel. Although the environment and ambiance is not the same as during the ACE Hotel times, this restaurant has recovered the space and actually serves very interesting food and a reasonable price. KUDOS and welcome!"

"Visited here on October 22nd. For my girlfriends birthday dinner. Our server was male with curly hair and tattoos. Over all we loved it! To start the service was amazing. I apologize that I don't remember his name but he was truly excellent. He was very knowledgeable and approachable. He regularly checked up on our table and gave great recommendations. It was also very clear that he and the rest of the team was actively paying attention to the tables scanning and manicuring as they moved about. The food and drinks were very tasty and generally well executed. Nothing was particularly ground breaking but everything was well conceived and approachable. Perfect for a hotel restaurant. We got a bunch of small plates and that was more then enough food. We especially loved the potato with chili aioli. Tbh potatos are super simple so it's always nice when a restaurant does them so well that it's all we can think about. My only criticism is on the salmon tartar. We ordered it cuz my girlfriend loves salmon. And don't get me wrong it was still very tasty I especially liked the use of the salmon skin as a vessel for the tartar. That being said I think that there was too many things going on. And was hard to identify and understand the component. The chili crisps and the salmon skin helped break up the textures but there wasn't enough salmon skin and the chili crisps were not mixed evenly enough to allow for a perfect bite each time. But I am nitpicking at this point. Everything else hit the mark and was tasty! The vibe was dope! Loved the chandeliers and the lounge style seating was super comfortable. However we chose to seat our selves in the corner near the check in tablet. Even though there was a barrier in the form of a table with plants it was still very easy to notice people walking behind us to access the hotel. Also it did get a tad chilly as the door was constantly opening and closing. Maybe a heavy curtain at the front door might help. Again nitpicking. Overall we will definitely come back again! I apologize for the essay. But I am super excited to see this place grow! Keep up the great work! *Note we forgot to take pictures of all the items sorry*"
