What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"The coffee is wow wow wow. Glorious espresso. The employees -at the time of writing- are great at latte art and again the coffee is just exquisite. However, the place itself is very small, with the seating options just being a small bar table with four or five chairs, and a tableless bench by the door."
"A lovely branch of the original La Prima Espresso in the Strip! It’s a small space but there is seating. The coffee is smooth and flavorful. My latte was wonderfully creamy and well-balanced. La Prima has the best lattes I’ve had not just in Pittsburgh, but in the U.S. And if you’re drinking your coffee there, they will give it to you in a glass or ceramic cup. The person working there was very welcoming and friendly."
"The coffee and food are OK but not particularly good. I can make much better espresso and drip coffee at home. The pastries were alright, but weren't baked fresh. Novaria coffee is pretty close and is a way better coffee shop in my opinion. To be honest, I would recommend Starbucks over La Prima and I don't even like Starbucks."
"Stopped in after seeing they had breakfast sandwiches only to find out they're premade and re-heated on a panini press. No big deal but it was obviously not as good as the straight-from-the-griddle appearance would have you believe. Staff is nice and helpful. Great coffee, ofc. Decor is bright but sterile, perfect for the hospital crowd I suppose."
"Stopped by today since I heard they had just opened. I got a mocha and it was delicious! Everything was prepared efficiently and the team was friendly. Things were clean and organized. They had a nice selection of drinks, which I expected, but I was impressed with the number of food items they had as well!"
"Definitely the best coffee spot in Pittsburgh. Their espresso is perfect and never disappoints."
