from Google & Yelp"Margaux in East Liberty is a stylish and inspired hybrid of a European café and cocktail bar. By day, it’s the perfect spot to sip on a specialty coffee while lounging on cozy couches—ideal for getting work done or hosting a relaxed meeting. By night, the space transforms into a sophisticated cocktail bar, perfect for a night out. I recently stopped by to try their seasonal café menu and was seriously impressed. The root beer espresso float was insane—made with house-made sassafras root beer and oat milk cold foam infused with coffee and caraway. It was simple, caffeinated, and tasted just like a classic root beer float with a grown-up twist. The sage latte was whimsical and beautifully crafted, with a subtle floral essence that lingered perfectly. I also had a croissant, which was flaky, light, and absolutely delightful. I can't wait to go back and experience the nighttime vibe at Margaux. If the cocktails are anything like the coffee, it’s going to be a standout spot."
"Margaux is a gorgeous space with lots of natural light. Very peaceful, a great atmospheric place to get work done. Delicious Honey Lavender Lattes and Chicken Salad toast."
"I wanted to give it a perfect rating, so bad, but the coffee was a letdown. Margaux is one of the prettiest cafe in pittsburgh, if not the prettiest. It is large, spacious, modern, full of natural light, and has plenty of seating options + free wifi. it also has a wide variety of indoor plants which gives it a very urban jungle vibes. You go out to the cash register and order there. They hand you a number and then bring you your food and drink. This basically means you don’t have to wait at the counter for your drink to be ready and can go chill instead, which is pretty cool. I visited on Monday morning, and it was pretty full. Most people were either just working from there or having meetings. The crowded the cafe seemed a little bit more posh compared to the other cafes. I have visited. For the first round, I got a cappuccino, which was average. I also got the chicken toast, which is an open face sourdough with generous serving of chicken salad. The toast was amazing. They did not skimp on the quantity of chicken as the flavours and textures were on spot. For my second round, I got an almond croissant, which was again pretty average and a latte, which was very disappointing. The latte was watered down, and the coffee flavour was extremely weak. It felt like I was drinking milk with a little bit of coffee. Honestly, don’t get lattes here. Next time I might want to try the pour over."
"Beautiful space, location, and service. Food? I have been at much better places and certainly had more creative food."
"I started coming to Margaux a couple of weeks after they opened, and it has not disappointed a single time since. The quality of the regular drip coffee is what I would expect from an expensive pour-over at other places; I'd put their coffee up against the very best NYC shops any day. The atmosphere is like nothing else, somehow a mix of a nice cocktail bar and a productive co-working space in one. And the staff are so friendly (even staff on their first or second day!) that every other barista seems dour in comparison. I've spent an embarrassing amount of my time and money in coffee shops all over the world and Margaux is among the very best."
"Food was tasty, including the excellent coffee. Ambience was laid back and fun. Wobbly table was an issue, especially because it spilled our drinks, but the..."
