What People Are Saying

from Google

"Mola serves huge portions for an authentic Japanese spot—everything is flown in from Japan. I eat Mola once a week for lunch. I took my wife, who was visiting, and she was genuinely surprised. We’ve eaten at multiple Michelin omakase and sushi restaurants in the $300–$1,000 per person range, and Mola’s food is right up there. We’ve also tried nearly every sushi/Japanese place around Pittsburgh, usually $250–$300 for two. Mola easily beats them all. The others at the same price point as Mola, is all borderline inedible because we’re really picky on food quality when it comes to raw fish. Finally, the best sign of a great restaurant isn’t how Instagram-ready the plates look—it’s how clean those plates are when you’re done. Mola doesn’t waste time making food for photos. They put their money where it matters: taste. We leave every plate completely cleaned because that’s how good the food is."

"Mola is amazing! Great flavors not experienced anywhere else and huge pieces which leaves you filled and happy. Note: their website has pictures for every food item which is perfect. Got the: Crispy chicken bao 10/10 Pork belly bao 10/10 Steak bao 10/10 Bluefin with truffles Spicy scallops Blue crab Crispy spicy tuna Shrimp tempura with avocado and cucumber And a couple more that I don't remember now All sushi rolls were great! Other than the bao buns, no use in recommending specific rolls here, get whatever feels good to you and I guarantee a good time!"

"I have to say the pork belly bao was the best thing I have tried so far. It was soft and sweet on the outside savory and juicy on the inside. I wish there was more options to have more than 1 without having to pay in full for each one. I could have easily devoured a dozen of those. Shrimp tempura avacado sushi roll was good; pretty standard. The shrimp tempura udon was mostly broth & noodles, less contents and salty but was fine. The matcha cheesecake was an absolute let down. Extremely small even for cheesecake. The flavor didn't really taste like matcha at all. It had a plasticy taste like the kind you get from a plastic container instead. Will not be getting that again. Prices to quantity is fine for most items. Waiter was nice and helpful. Parking is a bit annoying to find due to the time we were there. Maybe I just need to try other menu items another time. 🤷‍♀️"
