"We ate at Paris 66 tonight, and, I found it to be a great experience. The restaurant brings Paris right to you in a wonderful atmosphere on Centre Street in Pittsburgh, PA. I was in Paris in 2018, and, this restaurant did truly remind me of the dining there. We started with wine and a cheese dish just like would be if we were in a restaurant next to the Eiffel Tower. We had tender roast beef, succulent and deliciously prepared steak, I myself ordered the duck, the duck was fabulous. My whole family was impressed with the staff, who made arrangements easy and were clearly helping each other to have us have a great experience. My family’s waitress was Abigail, she did amazing, she made us feel at home and was completely professional with her service to us, giving helpful suggestions along the way. Hats off to Paris 66. If you are debating whether to give this place a try, you should check it out, it will be worth it, I promise you that. Sean"

"Stopped in on a whim around noon during restaurant week. Tried the restaurant week menu and was pleasantly surprised. It was kind of expensive, but they have some interesting items on their menu that you can't find just anywhere. Their escargot was a little non traditional but very good. Another reviewer said it was "uninteresting" and I would say it's pepared in a way for the most people to enjoy. For people with more experienced palates, yeah it can be uninteresting. The server was great and responsive. The place is intimate and small and filled up quick for the lunch rush. I would recommend reservations if you're going during prime time. Will return again to try items from their standard menu."

"Walking into Paris 66 Bistro, one seems to be transported into a quintessential Parisian experience, the French owner welcoming you with a “bon soir”, the walls adorned with decor from l'Hexagone (complete with a Métropolitain sign!), a bottle of Moët proudly on display by the entrance. Unfortunately, after sitting down, ordering, and dining, one learns quickly that it is all a façade. To their credit, the prices on their menu are Parisian indeed: $19 for six escargots, $42 for cassoulet, $36 for a porc au cidre. A quick perusal of highly regarded bistros in Paris will reveal comparable prices, although of course with tax and tip included. But the actual culinary experience is but a pallid reflection of French gastronomy. The escargot was uninteresting (though admittedly paired with excellent crostini). The porc au cidre was acceptable but unremarkable. And the cassoulet should be rebranded as cass-sec-oulet, the confit duck dry and tough. For half the price this would have been acceptable, but $130 for all this and a tiny carafe of their house Sauvignon feels like an insult to the Pittsburgh public, as if the proprietor thinks that the fine people of this town do not know any better. There are far better restaurants in town to spend that kind of money. The service is also decidedly European, as we waited 40 minutes between our hors d’oeuvres and our plats principaux. There is a famous scene in the beloved Pixar film Ratatouille where the obdurate critic Anton Ego takes a bite of ratatouille and is teleported back to fond memories of his mother’s cooking from his boyhood years. Should anyone else have this experience at Paris 66 Bistro, I am sorry for what your childhood was."

"This is now my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the fresh bread to the rich chocolate mousse! Their entrecôte sauce is magical. Their cassoulet was a trip back in time to my childhood. This place is to die for! If only I had an extra stomach so I could’ve tried more items on the menu. I finished off my wife’s salmon and that was also a magical buttery lemony amazing sauce. Every sauce is perfect. Hats off to those chefs! You’re world class!"

"We had a lovely experience at Paris 66! Had my fiancés birthday dinner here and everything was perfect. It’s super charming inside and really makes you feel you are tucked in a small cafe in France! The food is incredible! We had the crab salad, Kobe beef, asparagus, and truffle fries! Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty! The crème brulle was delicious and they did a little sparkler on a macron for her bday, which was very appreciated. Our server Adian was phenomenal! Professional, great understanding of the menu, attentive, and overall just a really nice guy. We enjoyed our convos with him and sincerely appreciated his attention to detail! 10/10, we will most certainly return! They do have a parking garage right next to the restaurant if there is no street parking available! Also, make sure to look at the menu. This is an experience not an Applebees. Don’t be like the guy next to us complaining about price and portion size the entirety of dinner. It’s 100% worth the money for what you get and the service you receive!"
