What People Are Saying
from Google"Delicious Food. We visited The Forge for their New Year’s Eve, prix fixe dinner. We enjoyed ourselves very much and recommend you try The Forge for yourself. Service: the service was adequate. I prefer more forethought from staff especially when a restaurant is executing an experience. Our waitress was friendly! When it came to the wine pairing, our food was delivered several minutes before our waitress realized she forget our wine, each time. I prefer to see more attention and forethought out of service. Atmosphere: cheap chic. The decor and ambience felt exclusively from At Home. There was a lack of quality and originality. Cellphone menus via QR Codes lack character, and stamina for a fine dining experience, as cost effective and convenient as they can be. Food: very good! The best part about this experience, was the food. The brussels sprouts were exceptional. Crisp, caramelized, and hot! The salmon was cooked to perfection. It was tender and flavorful. It was the Tres Leches that stole the show. It could have used a tad less cream as the bottom structure was no longer holding together, but the flavor was fabulous. I wish I had 2! Value: worth it. For the price of a prix fixe meal with 3 glasses of wine on New Year’s Eve, The Forge has a valuable experience to offer. The portions and flavors were exceptional. Expectations: the food exceeded my expectations. It doesn’t matter where you choose to eat, you have expectations. When you sign up for a prix fixe experience, you have expectations. The Forge missed the mark on atmosphere and they could brush up on their table service, but I will say the food and experience met my expectations of what a New Year’s Eve can be. We look forward to returning."
"The Forge is one of my favorite cocktail bars! My friends and I have become regulars any time we’re in Lawrenceville. The drinks are fantastic and very well made, I highly recommend getting the bartender’s choice."
"Great little cocktail bar! The food is light and delicious the cocktails are very unique! Great ambiance it was just missing the little extra to push to 5 stars for me"
"I recently visited The Forge Pittsburgh with a girlfriend for a casual dinner and wine to celebrate my birthday, and the experience was truly wonderful. The decor is cozy and comfortable with an upscale lounge feel that immediately makes you want to settle in and enjoy the evening. The menu offers a thoughtful variety, ranging from Mediterranean inspired dishes to beautifully prepared charcuterie, making it easy to find something that fits the mood whether you want light bites or a full meal. Everything we ordered was excellent, and the service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. What really stood out was the owner personally coming out several times throughout the evening to check in with guests and make sure everyone was enjoying their experience. That level of care and hospitality made the night feel especially warm and welcoming. We loved it so much that we immediately booked another table for dinner before a concert at the Thunderbird this week. If you have not been to The Forge yet, I highly recommend making a reservation. It is the perfect spot for happy hour, a relaxed dinner, delicious small plates, or a special celebration."
"To say that my experience at The Forge was great is a drastic understatement. We had a reservation and got there right on time, and I admittedly was a bit anxious because the location is a bit smaller than you’d expect and it was SO popular. We were sat at two cozy armchairs with a small table to place our food and drinks, which I’ve not experienced at a restaurant before, and I was curious as to how the rest of the night would go. The casual atmosphere immediately set in, and it almost just felt like another home. The food was incredible, they had a lot of vegan options which I was excited about, and the brick oven pizza was delightful in every way. We ended up getting the vegan cheese board, the cauliflower steak, and the Caprese pizza along with a few cocktails. We sat and talked for hours, the staff was so friendly and not nearly as intrusive as you’d think for such a small space. They let you just enjoy your experience and only came over when you were visibly settling down. We had Luke as our server, and he was exceptional! I could not recommend The Forge enough if you’re looking for something just a little different, but still cozy and comfortable. Also, it being 21+ was a major bonus as it never got too loud! I’ll definitely be back!"
