What People Are Saying
from Google"Dinner: The eatery has a charming and cozy atmosphere. However, it is important to note that the online menu and available tables do not accurately represent the full menu offered in the restaurant. The dining options were quite limited, resembling more of an appetizer selection. I ordered the roasted salmon with spinach risotto, and while it was hot, the overall experience could have been improved with more variety on the menu. Breakfast: Get ready to kickstart your day with an incredible breakfast spread! There's an enticing array of delicious options for everyone to indulge in, all served piping hot. It's the perfect way to fuel your morning adventures!"
"This was not our first visit to Cheers but I can say this might be our last. The service here was horrible. We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Myself, my husband and 5 year old. The restaurant was not busy at all with only 1 other table being served. The waiter was rude to begin with when we asked for a different table than the one he was going to seat us at. Then we got two drinks from the bar they were not good at all. We sent one back and the waiter basically talked back to us justifying the drink he made instead of providing us with better service. We felt very disrespected. He spoke to the other table very politely and what sounded like good service and never even checked in on us to see if we needed anything. This felt a little racist to us since the other table was not the same race as us. We spent over $100 for food. The food was not even the best. It was just ok. We deserve to have great service and great food. We won’t be going there again."
"Had high hopes for this restaurant, conveniently located near the Santander Performing Arts Center for a pre-concert meal out. While the hostess was lovely and helpful with getting our parking squared away, the rest was pretty fair. The server took a very, very long time to even come get the drink order, which added to stress for timing before the event. The food was just fair, and the prices seemed high for the quality and quantity. Reading could sure use some better restaurants, as this place looked the best of some mediocre choices."
"I was headed to a concert across the street so had time to waste and was hungry. Probably one of the top hotel restaurants I’ve eaten from recently. Customer service was amazing. The colored greens along with the Mac and cheese were great!"
"Cheers Bistro at the DoubleTree in Reading PA was part of a perfect evening! Our server, "Kiana", was attentive and helpful with the menu, and we enjoyed the Prime Rib Chili, Grilled Chicken BLT, their signature Tomato Gorgonzola soup, and an amazing Street Corn Salad, followed by a Creme Brulee for dessert. All the items were generous portions, well-prepared and delicious. Because we were heading to the Reading Symphony Orchestra performance, Kiana offered to keep some items for us to pick up after the performance, which I didn't remember until we arrived home. I phoned the restaurant and they said to come at my convenience the next day. That morning I was met by "Dee" who cheerfully and quickly went out of her way to be sure that I got what I came for. Overall, dinner at Cheers Bistro was part of our perfect evening, and we look forward to visiting again at the next opportunity."
