"During my short time in State College, this was my go-to lunch spot. It does get extremely busy during peak lunch hours, so plan accordingly. My order was made incorrectly a few times, but the staff always fixed it promptly, and when it happened a bit much, they gave me a gift card to make up for it. Big shoutout to the staff and management for their excellent customer service. Great bagels and sandwiches all around. I still haven’t found a comparable spot. Highly recommend"

"A New York bagel shop just across the street from Old Main, Irvings is a great place for incredible breakfast/lunch fare while catching the Penn State vibe. Home of State College’s best and IMO only authentic bagels, they are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, with a selection from plain to Everything. Irvings has lots of cream cheeses and sandwich selections (the Breakfast Special served all-day long), awesome bread and pastries too. Then there’s the drinks, from milkshakes to smoothies, great fresh coffee and plenty of bottled drinks. The main-stay staff knows their stuff; student staff members come and go, and seem to enjoy themselves while working which makes for a better experience. It’s my go-to spot for family breakfasts, coffee with colleagues or clients, or a quick bite with friends. I love Irvings!"

"Great vibes here! I'm not a huge fan of the breakfast sandwiches, but the bagels are absolutely phenomenal! They have that thin, crispy shell with a nice snap and soft fluffy dough inside. I'll continue to buy bagels by the dozen at Irvings! Recently I order a dozen bagels, 3 separate days out of a 6 day span and they didn't have enough cinnamon raisin bagels on any of those 3 days to fill my order. Friday November 21 @ 11am - No cinnamon raisin bagels Monday November 24 @ noon - No cinnamon raisin bagels Wednesday November 26 @ 930am - Only 7 cinnamon raisin bagels No excuse for this. Irvings has been there for decades and should easily understand when it's going to be busy and when it's not. There's not even any students there during Thanksgiving break and they still don't have enough bagels to fill the orders... Not a good look!"

"Great, casual place for a quick, delicious breakfast. It is basically counter service, and then you bring your meal to your table. I had bacon, egg, and cheese on a poppy seed bagel. 🥯 It was fresh, filling, and very tasty. Everything was prepared within a very reasonable time. Place was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend."
