"Let me start off my saying that everything I had here was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, the customer service isn’t the greatest. I completely understand that this place gets busy(as it is quite delicious!) and it can be overwhelming, I’m sure. But can we treat ALL our customers with the same kindness? I get some customers have been going there much longer than I have, but I should also feel as welcome as they did. I shouldn’t be getting the annoyed look like I’m going in to bother the folks behind the counter. This is the end of my speech. Food: great! Atmosphere: great! Service: can be worked on"

"My family had been a customer for 50+ yrs. at the Chalkstone Ave location. I stopped in the Oaklawn Ave location last Sunday 12/21/25. I was so disappointed to find out that they didn't make their signature fudge brownies with walnuts, but decided, against my better judgment to try the ones that they did have, what a disappointment 😞. They were extremely dry & tasted like they were a week old, needless to say, 5 went in the garbage. I also picked up an Italian cookie tray which was edible, but nothing compared to what Chalkstone Ave. use to make. Unfortunately, for a $65 purchase, I won't be returning, definitely not the same!!"

"I ordered a cake for a baby shower and was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the cake. Ginny did a wonderful job decorating the cake - it was beautifully detailed and even had edible glitter!
