What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Great restaurant and glad we decided to stop by as walk-in despite no availability online. We ordered mussels, clams and some dinner to share. And everything was absolutely delicious, especially the sole. The portions were huge and we didn't have room for dessert, although the huge browny/ice cream dessert at the table next to us caused quite a stir amongst everyone around it. Friendly service from hostess to waitress; even chatted with the manager and shared our delight with the place. If ever in Newport, do check it out."
"We stumbled upon The Brick Alley Pub thanks to a great recommendation from our trolley driver, Rob—and what a find! This place is bursting with eclectic charm, packed with fun antique memorabilia on every wall. It’s like walking into a cozy museum-meets-pub—there’s something to admire in every corner. The bar area is separated so perfect if you have small Kids too! Despite being pressed for time (we had a return water taxi scheduled for our cruise), our server was incredibly accommodating. We let her know we had only an hour, and she made sure everything was smooth and efficient without making us feel rushed. We started with their famous beef nachos, which were absolutely delicious—layers of crispy chips, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned beef. My friends opted for the all-you-can-eat salad bar, which was impressively stocked with a huge variety of fresh toppings, dressings, and sides. A true salad-lover’s dream! I ordered their award-winning Lobster Salad Sandwich, served cold as recommended. It did not disappoint—light, flavorful, and loaded with fresh lobster meat. It came with classic coleslaw and a side of sweet potato fries, which were perfectly crispy and just the right amount of sweet. Before heading out, we also grabbed a few tee-shirts for our husbands—a fun way to support local businesses and take home something memorable. Little souvenirs like that always make vacations last just a bit longer when you’re back home. If you’re in Newport and looking for a spot that’s full of personality, local flavor, fantastic bar area and great food, I highly recommend stopping in at The Brick Alley Pub. It’s now one of my favorite hidden gems from the trip!"
"We went as a group of 8. Everything came out amazing! Especially liked the Portuguese little necks, cowboy nachos and brie and apple bruchsetta. If you love Martinis this is the place to be. The bartender mixed up the best chocolate martini ever with no cream!! The atmosphere was fun, lively and decorated for Christmas! If you are in Newport it is a must!"
"Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant is such a great spot! The atmosphere is warm, lively, and welcoming, making it perfect for a casual meal or gathering with friends. The highlight for me was definitely the clam chowder—so rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It’s an absolute must-try! 👍 The menu has a wide variety of options, and everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and efficient, which made the experience even better. If you’re in Newport, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!"
"Pricey but fun, unique atmosphere with many things to look at. Calamari tasted fresh and crispy. The fish and chips were okay, not much crunch or crisp from anything. Beef short rib sandwich was tender and flavorful. Overall, great vibes and average food."
"Came here today off of Facebook visit with Santa event. It is such a hole in the wall place I wouldn't have thought of which is a shame because it has a lot..."
