"Cappys has been around for ages and ages. Originally coined a “Giants bar,” you can still see bits and pieces of Giants paraphernalia on the walls. Big, cheap drinks and a lively jukebox. It does lean more dive than anything but that’s what we love about it. Easygoing, no frills, fun. They serve food now too and I can’t speak to that but maybe on my next semi-annual visit"

"Love this bar! We stopped in for a quencher on a freezing December night before dinner. I haven’t been a Giants fan since the days of Y.A. Tittle and Andy Robustelli, and as a Patriots fan it pained me to see Eli Manning photos on the wall. But I love a bar that’s true to its roots and is full of good people, and this is one of those places. I expected Norm to walk in and sit beside me at the end of the bar. The service was friendly and it felt like a place to come back to. Which I will."

The community in this place is amazing and something that Newport is not losing with all the billionaires buying up every restaurant.
