"Update 2/10/24–now since El Antojo is no more and with it went Mr. Roberto Colombian recipes. I came to Las Delicias today . I had a Bistec Encebollado . It was good . Coffee today was popping hot and fresh . It was great it would be better when they start using actual cups. But it was great coffee today . This place today is busy . The chef came around giving us free taste of a bread he made —it was really good . I finally met the chef after all the years coming here . Nice guy and hard working . I tell you I am not sure but maybe because El Antojo is no more this place is full. I am glad . After meeting the chef , yes , I pray this place grows exponentially to the point the need a bigger place . My only advice is : get a coffee frother if some type and your coffee will be ten stars . I am actually typing this as I am seating in the restaurant waiting to pay . It’s so busy today . It good news I don’t mind waiting . Ezneides was great! My advice capitalize on the fact that the cosmopolitan got rid of Roberto’s Colombian dishes and bring you game up even more . This is not a Colombian restaurant Americanizing the dishes but authentic Colombia food with Colombian cuisines names in the menu . La casona is no good either . Today I saw a big change way more people . Up your game with the coffee which was good today and have your wait stuff be absolutely on point . I am a good tipper , I love tipping well ! 8/2/23– UPDATE—decided to stop by today cause el paisa and el antojo both on vacation at the same time . This place is buzzing today . I have to stay some things def a step up . Like , the organic milk I see on the fridge . Def made a the coffee a slightly better than last time . My dish wasn’t expensive at all , it was Bistec a Caballo —never had it before —really wanted Hígado but they don’t serve breakfast past 12pm . So , I opted for this dish . As I said , price wasn’t expensive therefore , I didn’t expect the quality of the meat to be the best. You get what you paid for as the saying goes . The meat was hard , def a workout for my jaw . The onion and tomatoes mix that comes on top of it was good but boy ! It was such a potential that with organic tomatoes and onion this thing would be an atomic bomb in your tongue . Rice ,well, much better , softer and not too much oil . Like I said for the price I knew the meat would be the way it was hard to chew . But , I wouldn’t mind paying more for quality meat . I know most people would complain about the prices going up at this restaurant but this restaurant has potential and I gave it one more star . The coffee is served in cider cups to go at least not foam cups (which is so toxic ) . El bonuelo was great . It is always great here but it needed a bit more warmth to it . Service : only one girl serving . So, you have to signal if you need something . . I have to say , it’s getting better at this place . I shall come back in another year . I am here cause el paisa and El antojo are closed for vacation and La casona is just not good . So , delicias de mi tierra wa any choice today . Also , parking is hard to find . But thank Jesus a space opened up close to the restaurant . 8/11/22 - update - I visited this place today to well try it a second time since my last time which was perhaps more than two years ago . Reason why I went : El antojo doesn’t open until. 12pm and el Paisa is closed for vacation until 8/14. Instead of going to La Casona ( not my fav ) I felt like giving La delicias another try . Parked along the street . It’s free! Got coffee and buñuelo to start . Buñuelo es good . Coffee still needs work . I am telling you this place has huge potential but… It’s just the quality of the products they use 👎. Yes, the prices are cheap but it’s because the products are cheap. I mean I don’t mind paying a bit more for a good quality meat . Service was great . Coffee tho , needs a lot of work . They don’t give you coffee in a coup . It’s on a to-go cup at least is not styrofoam (which contains forever chemicals that leach into the hot liquid and then it’s ingested ) ."
