I swear by Northeastern Coffee Equipment, and in fact I am quite happy to drive the hour and a half from my home to drop it off and pick it up. Their techs are very competent, and explain things well. They are fairly quick in getting the service done, even if they need to order parts. They are also not trying to sell you anything... last time I was there I thought I needed a new machine, but they talked me out of it and did a minor fix on the existing one. They do a great job. "I called Northeastern looking to schedule a 3-month maintenance on a Nuova Simonelli. The woman who answered was rather curt and said they didn’t have anything for several weeks and she’d call back when she knew. I did not receive a call back. Additionally, I had purchased our machine through another vendor originally, and when I called to inquire about maintenance service a few months ago since NE performed our install, they asked why I had originally purchased elsewhere. When I told them It was about cost they told me they could have matched the price and seemed annoyed. I’m not one who wants to haggle back and forth or set vendors against one another, so after receiving different quotes I just went with the best price. That I went with someone else out of state seemed to annoy them? I’m sure they do great work, so maybe I just caught them in a few off moments, but my phone and customer service experiences have been a bit awkward."
