from Google"RI Food Fights' “Taco Mania!” brought us to Terra Negra, and we’re glad it did! The restaurant has two dining areas — an indoor dining room and an outdoor patio in beautiful DePasquale Square. The indoor space had a lingering hookah smell that was a bit distracting, but there was a cool ofrenda display that gave it a unique touch. If the weather allows, I’d definitely recommend sitting outside on the patio for a more enjoyable vibe. Our server was excellent — attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with complimentary tortilla chips that were perfectly seasoned and served with a fresh, flavorful salsa. For tacos, we went with the Chicharron and Adasa, both topped with cilantro, red onions, radish, lime, and a green taquera sauce. Each was authentic, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. Despite the indoor atmosphere not being ideal, the food and service more than made up for it. I’d happily return — next time, definitely snagging a patio seat!"
"From the moment we walked into Terra Negra, everything was absolutely amazing! ✨ I came from out of state, and this was my very first time going out in Providence, Rhode Island — and wow, what an experience! 🥰 Our server, Fredlyne, was beyond incredible. 🙌 She was so attentive, kind, and made us feel truly welcomed the entire time. She never missed a detail and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. 🌟 The food? Simply spectacular! 🍽️🔥 Every bite was full of flavor, and you can tell they put a lot of love and quality into their dishes. The hookah was also perfect — smooth, flavorful, and made the vibe even better. 💨💫 The service overall was top-tier. We felt so well taken care of the whole night, and that’s something that really makes the difference. 💕 If you’re ever in Providence, Terra Negra is definitely the place to go! Highly recommend it for amazing food, unforgettable service, and the best atmosphere. 🥂✨"
"Had a great time with my husband at our first time here yesterday. Loved the atmosphere, and music. Food was better than most Mexican restaurants, highly recommend the maiz empanadas which for me are just regular quesadillas. Salsa they provided weather youre team roja or verde is a win, great spice level and flavor. Drinks were amazing. Couldn't complain about the food or drinks. Our waitress was amazing, Janteli I think was her name. She helped us and guided us through the menu and provided amazing service. Will come back again!"
"Nice place for a nice piña colada and mojitos and some great food, we sat at the bar and no wait we were served right away. Great vibes from the bartenders to the patrons. Guacamole and nachos were delicious with great flavor and seasoning we got the shrimp nachos well done with the flavor.😋"
"I went there for the first time and I was very pleased with everything overall. Their food was super delicious; the steak was on point, the chicken was very tasty, the creamy white sauce was great... They didn't hold back with the amount of food our dishes brought; there was plenty for the price. Their drinks were also pretty good and had a decent size. We ordered house Margs in different flavors, and they were all great. They were reasonably priced. I asked all the people that came with us and they were also very happy with their experience. I'm just going to point out one small thing, the fried fish did not have any flavor, unfortunately; it needed some seasoning for sure. 3 of us tried it and agreed on this. I really liked the way they decorated the place...it's very bright, colorful, clean and loved the music they were playing. We're definitely coming back for more. Note: Watch out for the bill since they include "gratuity/service charge" and they won't tell you anything about it, so you may end up tipping doble."
