"As a professional as well in charleston, south carolina I too am always on the lookout for great spots to get work done and meet clients at and this is one of my top three spots in all of charleston. I like the breakfast here. I typically grab a breakfast item here and then I go to get some work done or meet a client down on meeting st at blum coffee and wine bar on meeting street. the coffee at both places is amazing.I really like the breakfast here though. 5 stars for babas on meeting and a friendly staff."

"If you have an unlimited budget, Baba’s is wonderful. The atmosphere is pleasantly busy at peak times, a pleasant bustle, especially with the delicatessen activity of Goat, Sheep, Cow which shares the building. It is plush feeling, conveying a sense of a place with history, as you might get from a nice museum cafe in Europe. The outside seating is secluded and nice. Today’s experience: 1) the avocado toast. This at once was the best avo toast I ever had. But today, the bread was thin and crisp. I liked it better when it was thicker. Presentation was lovely, thinly sliced avo, red pepper chili flakes, and flor de sal. It was overstalted, enough to burn a bit and overpower the flavor, not enough me to not scarf down both pieces. 2) The 8oz OJ: It’s six dollars. It’s almost worth it. So cold, so refreshing, so flavorful. 3) Chocolate chip cookie: delicious. Bitter chocolate, melted, pecans, a texture and that crunches and squishes. 4) Black coffee: delicious. I had to ask for a cup and saucer as they handed me a paper cup first. The fine in experience is so much better with a ceramic cup. Also, I had to ask for the cookie to be heated. They were happy to accommodate me. Overall, the price is exorbitant: 26.00 dollars for the above items. But I will keep coming back. Lastly, excellent music selection: some African influenced, jazzesque, anonymous background feel. Overall, Baba’s contributes something unique to Charleston with its class and eloquence. Its prices have grown out of proportion to its nostalgic atmosphere, but I will continue to come back."

"Really nice place to hang out - noticed a lot of people working from their laptops. We enjoyed a light breakfast and coffee before driving out of town. I got the avocado toast and added an egg, my boyfriend got two tacos. We loved it!"
