"The owner is present, really cares about his business, and is getting his son on the track to continue the path of 4 generations! That is pure value of a business in my eyes. Service was a bit pushy on promoting the business on social media and rate on google, but it was ok. Food was delicious!! Plentiful and well presented. We liked broiled fish the best although they are big on their fried fish. Value for money is perfect given the portions. Thank you very much! We’ll be back next time in town!"

"We had such a wonderful time! The food was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was fun! The hush puppies were the best we’ve ever had! They were moist and had an awesome honey flavor to them. We shared the she crab Soup that was wonderful. It had a nice sherry flavor to it. Plus they brought extra sherry out if we wanted it. We also shared the fried oysters, which were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The muscles with the parmesan cream sauce is to die for! We’re taking our oysters and dipping them into the cream sauce. The Chilean Seabass croquette was perfectly broiled, and was very moist and tasty. We definitely will be going back!"

"My date and sat at the bar and received great service and conversation from the bartender. Hyman’s was highly recommended and did not disappoint. We ordered from the happy hour menu and enjoyed a lobster roll, Carolina Delight, and cocktails. My date enjoyed his margarita and beer. Whereas my mocktail was a little too sweet. Overall, the decor and historic relevance of this establishment makes it a must see."

"I'm not sure what can be said about Hyman's that hasn't already been said. It is truly deserving of the excellent rating you see everywhere. This was positively the best meal I had while in Charleston and one of the best meals I have ever had. Beside that, the atmosphere of service and friendliness makes you feel so comfortable and at home! While we were eating at the Donald Glover / Barbara Streisand table, the owner (Tobias) even came by and talked to us and thanked us for making them part of our trip. This was a hugely memorable place to celebrate our 20th anniversary and we will be back again and again!"
