What People Are Saying
from Google"According to the menu, a chef salad should include: baked or fried chicken breast, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, boiled egg, carrots, red cabbage, and tomatoes — all on a bed of crisp lettuce. What I received was a box of shredded iceberg lettuce, one boiled egg, and a sprinkle of cheese. No carrots, no cabbage, no tomatoes. When I called and spoke to management, he said the cashier “ordered me a tossed salad and added an egg to save me money.” The problem is this box of plain lettuce still cost $8.77 — hardly a deal. If I had wanted a tossed salad, I would have asked for one. Instead, I paid nearly nine dollars for something that wasn’t even close to what was advertised. Very disappointing."
"Has potential and the server said the fried chicken is really good so we ordered it. Figured it would be about 15 minutes or so as the menu says "made to order" and we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time, roughly 7PM on a Friday. It was under 5 minutes and our food was served. Looked good but I knew the chicken was going to be dry and it was. The seasonings on it were very good. The corn bread muffins were really good. My side of candied yams were good but they did really have the appearance of coming from a can but as mentioned were tasty. The colliard green were very good. My Mac and cheese could have been better as I think it were sitting in the serving tray longer than it should have. Just can't get past the "made to order" part and then being served dried chicken, which was probably very good at one point. Staff was very friendly."
"Drive thru griddle - burned soggy French toast, soured batter. Completely not edible. Manager's explanation, "it was the bottom of the batter..."."
"What a great local chain! this diner has great variety (especially of sides) for reasonable prices. the carrot & raisin salad was especially good, as was the squash casserole. The baked chicken was great! so was the smoked sausage. oh! and we had to split a very nice piece of lemon meringue pie because we were too full for a dessert apiece. We ate there once on the journey to visit family and once again on the trip home because we liked it so much."
