from Google"10/5 star Dined here October 11th 2025. Had to wait until 11 to be served lunch and I had time to kill. Ordered the pork chop lunch. It was delicious, had collard greens, Mac and cheese, dressing and a side of potato salad. This is a 10/5 place to eat. The vibe was cool because it was a walk for cancer day I believe and the staff were very nice. Checked on me the right amount of times."
"Arrived about 2pm. The waitress was friendly and helpful about options. The problem was when my salad came out. The shredded cheddar on top was green with mold. I flagged down the waitress and sent the salad back. Another salad was brought out that was smaller. I had ordered baked chicken on it. Second bite of chicken had a sharp sliced piece of bone in it. I found 3 more pieces of bone. The manager apologized. But offered no excuse. The waitress took more accountability than management. She had to request from management to do something about the check. My salad was finally comped. I wasn't asking for that. I wanted to know why something like that could happen. I couldn't eat anything after finding the bones. I paid my bill and left a good tip for the waitress because she did her job and shouldn't be punished for kitchen and management failing."
"I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast on my visit during Thanksgiving Holidays! The food was delicious and Graciela provided wonderful service!"
"Have eaten at Lizard's Thicket for years and have witnessed firsthand the decline in quality of food and portion sizes. My recent stop for breakfast this week will be my last stop EVER at LT. I was extremely disappointed in my "country fried chicken steak breakfast" that had grits, biscuit, chicken steak and eggs. Sounds great, right? Well, with coffee, that breakfast totaled out to $15!!!! Did I get $15 worth of food? No, I did not. I received the equivalent of a child's plate worth of food for a king's ransom. Normally, after a "large" breakfast, i am not hungry for a good bit of time. However, due to the stupidly small portion sizes (and oversized prices) I was hungry two hours later. I remembered to tip my server $3 on this horrible meal, brining my total to almost $20 for a very SUBPAR, disappointing breakfast. No wonder the dining area was basically empty on a weekday morning in the city. Poor servers, having to work for peanuts. Shame on businesses for paying these workers $2.19 an hour and expecting customers to tip the rest of their wages. My server told me that her tips have dipped since the food prices went up and the portions went down. Her regulars are no longer coming in to sit and eat. I wonder why??"
"We arrived at 3:30pm. Prompt service. Delicious food. If we lived in this town we would come here all the time. Absolutely delicious flavoring and crust on the chicken strips. Excellent variety of sides. The cornbread tastes great, not floury or like a box mix."
