"This was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The steaks were outstanding—perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and truly melt-in-your-mouth quality. The 7oz beef filet, in particular, was exceptionally smooth and flavorful. The whipped herb ricotta appetizer was another standout, offering a rich, well-balanced flavor that set a high tone for the meal. The crispy Brussels sprouts are a must-order; they had a perfect texture with a sweet and savory profile that complemented the rest of the menu extremely well. The North Carolina redfish was decent, but the steak options were the clear highlight and are highly recommended over the fish. Beyond the food, the staff was amazing—warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic, elevating the whole experience. The ambience was exceptional as well: elegant, inviting, and perfectly curated to match the quality of the meal. Overall, this restaurant delivered a five-star, memorable experience with excellent food and thoughtful preparation throughout the meal"

"The food tasted amazing but what you pay for verses the portion you receive doesn’t quite match up. Both my husband and I ate and we left having to stop by a local bakery for a bagel as we were still hungry- our bill was $54 (with tax and tip) for (2) waters and (2) pieces of toast- I had mine ($18) with this delicious goat cheese spread and his had avocado with (3) Brussel sprouts on top ($17). He also ordered a side of chicken ($8.00) to have some protein and it was very dry. They were both listed on the “sharable” section for brunch- but we ordered 1 each so not to share and have as our meal. Even with the chicken, my husband was still hungry. I want to acknowledge that the service we had and the taste of the food were amazing (except for the side of protein), and I love that they support locally grown farmers- but $18 for my one thin slice of toast alone did not make even the taste of it or the service worth it. We are from a big city with restaurants that also support locally grown. Anywhere else, what we purchased would have been $10 each. We won’t be back. We didn’t remotely complain as I take to Google to review."

"If you find yourself in downtown Greenville, Between the Trees is an absolute "don't miss." Located right at the edge of the falls, the setting is spectacular. The atmosphere is matched perfectly by the service. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. As for the food—I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and it was a revelation. It is easily one of the best meals I've had. While it’s a Southern staple, this version reached a level of flavor and comfort that was completely unexpected. It was sophisticated yet soulful; truly exceptional in every way. I’ll be thinking about those grits until the next time I’m back in South Carolina!"

"Highly recommend the Leg of lamb appetizer, bison filet (melt in your mouth), and the cauliflower and cheese side dish. Most wonderful meal ever. I loved that they had Vouvray which is my favorite wine. It's romantic, the fireplaces are nice and if the weather is nice, sitting outside is amazing where you can hear the falls and maybe see them. Service is top notch. Menu does change seasonally."
